The new intake of MPs from the south of England have been making their way to Westminster to start work.

Thursday's election saw Labour and the Lib Dems make big gains at the expense of the Conservatives in constituencies across the region.

The MPs have been having their inductions and setting up their offices at Westminster ahead of the first parliamentary business on Tuesday.

As they headed to London, many took to social media to mark their first day in their new jobs.
