Did you know that 90% of students that improve their grades grow in confidence? 🙌 We asked our tutor community for their thoughts 💭 💙 Sara tutors high school maths. She tells us “My student had dyscalculia and lacked confidence. But I could tell she was determined, so my goal became to increase her self-confidence”. Sara worked with her student for several months and, at the end of the year, they earned a grade way above a pass. But the real win for Sara? “My student ended the school year telling me she likes mathematics”. 💙 Samantha tutors English. “What joy when, after many hours of English support, the student tells me that it has become their favourite subject!” She believes the 1:1 format allows students to regain self-confidence. “By establishing a relaxed climate, I remove blockages due to shyness, low self-esteem, lack of interest... 🤖 AI is a hot topic, but does that make it a strategy? Our Head of Marketing @Lukas Fasching says no. Last week, we were proud to see Lukas take to the stage at Canva Connect to discuss how to #futureproofmarketing. His main takeaway? Those that succeed will view AI as an incredible tool, but not a strategy itself. So, how can we futureproof marketing and harness AI to enhance our work? 1️⃣ Talk to your customers - If you want to understand your user, then pick up the phone and get to know them. We are operating in a rapidly evolving time and what was true six months ago may not be now. Keep the dialogue open, listen, and learn. 2️⃣ Be ready to adapt - It can be tempting to map out a strategy and stick to it. But flexibility is what gives marketers their edge. If something isn't working, ask why, ask how you can fix it, and rewrite your approach. 3️⃣ Understand how AI can help you - AI is a tool. And tools are built to enhance outcomes. Learn how AI can help you maximise your time, resources and output and say ‘yes’ to integrating it into your approach. New research has found that 3 in 4 students improve by up to three grades when learning with GoStudent! We’ve always believed in the power of personalised learning. Now, a new paper by Tricia Thrasher, PhD, who holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition Teacher Education, has confirmed our assumption. 🧑🔬 The comprehensive study, released today, involved 2,616 GoStudent users from across Europe. This robust research provides clear evidence that sustained, one-to-one tutoring with GoStudent leads to significant academic improvements and increased self-confidence. 🔍 The study highlights the critical role of confidence in academic success, showing that personalised support helps students feel prepared for exams, and more confident to tackle challenges effectively. 📊 Key Findings: Grade Improvement: 3 in 4 students improved their grades by up to three levels with personalised tutoring. Growth in Confidence: 90% of students who improved their grades also reported increased confidence - meaning feeling prepared for exams.  Sustained Tutoring Impact: Students who participated in more than 36 lessons saw an impressive 79% improvement in their academic performance, with sustained engagement being a key factor in their success. Academic Recovery: Previously failing students successfully improved their grades after 46 lessons on average, with 71% in Austria, 75% in Germany, 60% in France, 74% in Italy, and 68% in Spain achieving passing grades, having previously been failing.
