Hunger affects millions of Australians. But we can change that. Until 13 August, 10c from every Chobani product sold at Coles Group will be donated to SecondBite, who provide more than 50 million meals to Australians in need every year. And with their strategy of diverting unsold, edible food from landfill, they can provide up to 5 meals from just $1 donated. Help us feed people in need this winter: https://lnkd.in/g3tSk6qv

We're making a difference using food as a force for good
About us
Business can be a force for good. That’s always been what Hamdi Ulukaya, our founder and global CEO, has believed in. That a company can strengthen communities. That it can change people’s lives for the better. It’s what first inspired Hamdi to take out a loan in 2005, buy an old yogurt plant in upstate New York and bring together a small group of passionate people to make the authentic, wholesome yogurt he remembered from his childhood. He called the company Chobani. A name inspired by the Turkish word for ‘shepherd’. Infused with the hard-working, care-giving spirit of the mountain farmer, and enriched by the quality of the yogurt he made – yogurt that was Delicious, Nutritious, Natural and Accessible (the same DNNA philosophy we craft all our products with today).

It takes a village to raise a child. That’s why we created our Grandparents Leave. Three days of paid leave to spend with one’s new grandchild, above annual leave entitlements. As grandparents bring invaluable love, wisdom, and support to the journey of welcoming a new member of the family. Because our commitment to fostering a family inclusive workplace is as important as the food we create. #CHOlife #Chobani Chris Eaton Taari Ropata Bronwyn Herbert

800,000. The number of meals our special purple SKUs have generated for Foodbank so far, exclusively through our friends at Woolworths Supermarkets. And to keep momentum high, we brought our community together for the Kindness Kitchen. An opportunity to share a meal and have important conversations about the changing face of hunger in Australia. #CHOimpact #Chobani Foodbank Australia Foodbank Victoria Thrive PR + Communications

Whether chasing a personal best or cheering from the sidelines, Chobani Fit fuelled every spectator and participant at this year’s Great Ocean Road Running Festival. We're proving profits and purpose can coexist. "Chobani has always been a business founded on more than simply producing product for the purposes of profit, it's always been about doing good and delivering impact in and around the communities in which we operate." Commitment to our time-consuming craftsmanship. It’s the secret to our deliciously creamy Gippsland Dairy yogurt. And we’re not alone in appreciating it. We’re thrilled that the Dairy Industry Association of Australia crowned our Gippsland Dairy Boysenberry yogurt the nation’s best stirred yogurt for 2024. Above all, this title is a celebration of our team who see out every delicately crafted batch of GD, day in and day out. #GippslandDairy #Chobani

Our impact partners rely on volunteers. So naturally for National Volunteer Week, we wanted to go bigger. We had over 80 members of our workforce dedicate 163 hours of time to giving back with to our partners Eat Up Australia, Foodbank Victoria and Food For Change. And, in the spirit of NVW, a shout out all who seize opportunities to give back. As for so many charities, it’s their volunteers who make magic happen. #CHOimpact #NationalVolunteerWeek #Chobani

We’re committed to ensuring nutritious food is within reach for every Australian. And with 3.7 million Aussie households struggling to put food on the table in the past year, we’re proud to donate 6 meals to Foodbank Australia for every tub of Chobani x Foodbank yogurt sold. As our General Manager ESG & General Counsel, Tim Browne said, “Our long-term partnership with Foodbank Australia empowers us to go beyond the usual industry conventions and make a real difference.” Thank you to Kara Monssen for sharing news of our Kindness Kitchen with Karen Martini, helping raise awareness of our campaign with this unique culinary experience for the cost of a Chobani tub. #CHOimpact #Chobani Thrive PR + Communications Foodbank Victoria

Gippsland Dairy is rejecting the world’s embracing of hustle culture. Instead, we’re celebrating the time-consuming craftsmanship that goes into every batch of our award-winning yogurt with our new campaign. Because while many of life’s slow moments are so bad, enjoying every spoonful of Gippsland Dairy yogurt is Slow Good. Special Australia Match & Wood #GippslandDairy #Chobani

Helping grow more fresh produce to help feed hungry Aussies? It’s a yes from us. That’s why in addition to our regular volunteer days on the Food For Change Farm we’re sponsoring 8 rows of crops. Because by supporting the planting, nurturing and harvesting of more rows of plants, we’re helping ensure nutritious food is within reach for more Australians doing it tough. #CHOimpact #Chobani
