Throughout the month of July, the team at Marinus are participating in a workplace wellbeing challenge. Under the guidance of the motivational Sherri Ring, teams of 5 are banding together to earn points and compete for the title of wellbeing champions!   We are now at the halfway point of the challenge, and as it stands, Team Fuchsia (pictured in their 'Back to the Fuchsia' hats) are close contenders for the title (watch out Team Purple!). Some daily challenges include eating a healthy lunch, walking meetings, one song dance parties and taking gratitude moments.   Mid-winter slump is real, and this challenge has proven that with a little motivation and camaraderie, we can achieve anything! Good luck to the teams for the rest of the challenge – we will keep you posted with the champions!

Public exhibition for Marinus Link’s Combined Commonwealth Environmental Impact Statement and Victorian Environment Effects Statement (EIS/EES) is planned to close at the end of this week. Submissions on Marinus Link’s EIS/EES and draft Planning Scheme Amendment (PSA) are planned to close at 11:59pm on Friday 12 July 2024. Submissions can be made in writing through the Engage Victoria website – https://lnkd.in/gV63TGJi. Thank you to all our stakeholders and community members who read the documents and engaged with us throughout public exhibition. The next step in our environmental assessment process for Victorian matters is a Directions Hearing, held on Tuesday 6 August 2024, to consider the arrangements and timetable for a public hearing regarding the Victorian EES and draft PSA. The hearing will be facilitated by an independent Inquiry and Advisory Committee, appointed by the Victorian Minister for Planning. We will be providing further updates on our website throughout Marinus Link’s environmental assessment process, including updates regarding Commonwealth and Tasmanian matters. Accountability breeds response-ability - Stephen Covey We’re proud to share with you the Better Practice Social Licence Guideline 12- Month Independent Review: https://lnkd.in/gpqvakah 👏 A BIG thank you to Phillip Guthrie, Nine Creeks Consulting and Karin Stark, Renewables in AG, and Energy Consumers Australia and RE-Alliance. A quick overview of the 12-Month Independent Review: ➡ In May 2023, we released the Energy Charter Better Practice Social Licence Guideline (https://lnkd.in/gCGjXhVR) co-developed between our #BetterTogether Community Outcomes Group and Industry Collaborators. ➡ In May 2024, the 12-Month Independent Review (https://lnkd.in/gpqvakah) was undertaken of the progress against the Social Licence Guideline. The focus was to assess progress in implementing the Priority Actions and Better Practice Opportunities and to provide constructive feedback. ➡ The Independent Review identified that transmission businesses have made progress, yet there's always room for improvement. See this in the graphic below. ➡ It’s terrific to see the commitment and courage of the transmission businesses in this independent Accountability Process, which builds on the broader Energy Charter Accountability Process (https://lnkd.in/gFFyu4VK). There are many innovative initiatives being developed and delivered for the benefit of landholders and communities that provide better practice lighthouse examples. However, there is always more that we can do to build trust and deliver shared value outcomes.
