    Meet Denise Jackson, Client Director at Phuel! Based in Phuel’s Brisbane office, Dee puts her boundless energy into building strong, collaborative relationships with clients and working with our facilitation team to develop bespoke solutions. She loves the outcomes-focused nature of her work – especially seeing a client’s vision come to life through workshops, training and learning experiences. Outside of work, Dee is a nature lover and spends as much time as she can enjoying the Queensland sunshine, bushwalking, ocean swimming or even just taking a trip to the local park with her two boys. She is also a maestro in the kitchen, creating new recipes to cater to her son’s food allergies – all while belting out 80s power ballads!

    This month Phuel was proud to donate its time and talent to support the Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) during their winter camp. RYPEN is aimed at students aged 14-16 and challenges participants to become and discover themselves through a series of sessions on goal setting, problem-solving and social experiments. Phuel facilitators were excited to host activities and emphasise the need to dream big, work hard and stay focused. The RYPEN team loved how the activities engaged the students, commenting that "The skills they're going to take away afterwards are going to take them not only to the end of RYPEN, but into the future!"

    That’s a wrap! Year #10 working with the Priceline Franchise Partners and their teams! A cracking 3 days of strategy, plans and connection! If I’m honest, I used to worry (a lot!) about the idea of coming back again. “What if they’ve had enough of me?”, “Surely the team need a change?”. As I was reminded by a Priceline Leader via text just before we kicked off on Day 1: “No apologies this year, you belong!” Super powerful words that served to remind me to get out of my own way and do what I love doing - connecting, engaging and helping get the best out of people. Massive thx Richard Pearson for the trust in allowing us to continue to be part of your team. Likewise Cathi Scarce, Gabrielle Tully, Sophie Genovesi and Michelle Keane for the support.     Great achievements are rarely the work of a single individual. We see this often in sports: a team of stars is assembled yet hopes of glory are never realised. The 2004 USA Olympic Men’s Basketball team is a classic example. The best players from the world’s best league came together… …and narrowly skated into Bronze behind Argentina and Italy. Pundits were left scratching their heads. Where did it all go wrong? But the answer was there from the beginning. Success usually results from a common vision, shared accountability, and hard work in an environment where diverse talents are recognised and harnessed. When you have a team made up of individual brilliance, it’s not uncommon for each member to focus on their own strengths at the expense of unlocking true team potential. Creating a successful team is an art not a science, requiring trust, respect, and continuous learning.
