🚤🌍 | #MARINE & #SUSTAINABILITY SPOTLIGHT | The never-ending balance act in the marine industry - insulation weight versus performance. Can a vessel really benefit from both at the same time? More traditional materials (thick glass wool for example) may deliver very good performance but will also add unnecessary weight, resulting in sacrificing on the performance of a vessel. Is using more energy to operate the vessel really necessary? Pyrotek have supplied a high-performance insulation material that delivers excellent thermal protection and acoustic properties without the added weight - this combination makes it ideal for marine applications. We're excited to be following marine industry experts, including Dykstra Naval Architects, VRIPACK DESIGN, and Vitters Shipyard , who are working on a fossil fuel-free yacht. 🚤💨 | #MARINE PROJECT SPOTLIGHT | Get ready for an exclusive look behind the scenes of one of our latest projects in collaboration with Birdon Group. The team at Birdon designed and constructed two new state-of-the-art firefighting vessels, selecting Pyrotek’s essential acoustic soundproofing solutions to address noise and vibration challenges and meet stringent noise requirements for the Port Authority of New South Wales. The vessels launched in Sydney Harbour and Botany in January, with our materials also providing thermal insulation to ensure the ultimate comfort and safety for crew members. The Burra and Girawaa are the fastest response vessels ever commissioned by Port Authority NSW and will play a crucial role in responding to incidents in Sydney ports, including vessel fires, oil pollution and water rescues.
