This year’s #WorldEnvironmentDay 🌿 focuses on land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience. As a global leader in advanced fluid management solutions, Aliaxis is committed to addressing these challenges all over the world. 🌐 Americas 📈 The Leonard Water Treatment plant is a multi-year project in Texas that will help boost supplies of clean drinking water by 70 million gallons in its first phase. Our double containment piping system was chosen for the project because of its durability. Three further phases of the project are planned over the next 10 years to further increase supplies, with each phase adding an impressive further 70 million gallons to the water treatment cycle. 🇺🇸 EMEA 💪 With severe drought conditions increasingly hitting the important agricultural region of La Axarquía, near Málaga in Spain, Aliaxis is part of the emergency response, supplying corrosion resistant pipes to channel purified wastewater to the fields for irrigation 🇪🇸 Asia🌱 Our first set of CropX sensors in India, collect data about real-time soil conditions such as temperature, humidity, and electrical conductivity. This is used to generate recommendations so farmers can better understand what a crop needs to stay strong and healthy, both above and below the ground 🇮🇳 Pacific 🌊 In 2023, the Tamar River in Tasmania Australia, began a transformation to reduce overflow and more effectively transfer sewage and stormwater, improving the health of the Tamar estuary and surrounding environment. To assist, Vinidex produced 3km worth of large bore pipe, with some of the largest wall thickness ever manufactured by Vinidex and sourced a unique resin material for the project. Aliaxis has just won the Adam Smith Award for “Best in class treasury solution in Latin America” 🏆 Under the leadership of Koen Sticker, our global finance team worked extremely hard on the project, to win us the award, beating out 389 other companies from over 34 countries, to end one of only 21 winners! Our winning project, driven by Séverine Le Blévennec, involved an entire overhaul of our treasury management system, with a team of 65 people working worldwide, alongside partners from Citi and PwC, to find ways of rationalizing and simplifying every element of our payment system and processes. This award is great recognition of our finance team’s agility, creativity, and rigor in finding the right solutions and processes that get us reaching ever higher!
