Successful candidate will utilize their proven track record in international logistics to identify, qualify and sell into new chemical accounts whilst establishing and maintaining profitable business relationships with existing customers through both cross-and up-selling activities. Geographical coverage will be the Latin American countries where PSA BDP has an owned presence (Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Uruguay).
Responsibilities
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Take sales ownership, as an individual contributor, for an assigned list of multi-regional chemical companies not currently conducting business with PSA BDP in the assigned region
Establish long-term business relationships with prospects
Have a ‘hunter’ mentality and develop strategic solutions unique to each company to reduce overall logistics costs whilst improving sales to current and new customers
Enhance customer relationships (new) throughout their contract to encourage contract renewal and/or extension, or issuance of a new RFP
Work closely with each region; use available resources from the group to transfer and share all knowledge about potential clients
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
Minimum of five years of strategic sales and/or chemical logistics sales experience
Self-starter
Track record of creating and enabling revenue streams
Solid knowledge of domestic and international logistics
Excellent presentation skills, as well as strong in verbal and written communication
Ability to effectively network and influence prospects from senior to executive level
Strong negotiation skills
Excellent interpersonal and people management skills, as well as ability to work well with various cultures
High degree of integrity
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel
University degree preferred
