Today, we were honoured to have Minister Colleen Young officially announce Innovation Saskatchewan's $580,000 investment into three research projects at the University of Regina. ⚛️ Dr. Arthur Situm’s lab for its work with small modular reactors (SMRs) and nuclear energy 🌟 Dr. Gojko Vuljanic’s lab for its research on nuclear matter under extreme conditions and high-performance computing in nuclear science 🔬 Dr. Garth Huber’s lab for its construction of a critical component for SoLID, one of the world’s most powerful microscopes and global advancement in subatomic physics We were thrilled to hear from these three U of R researchers and tour Dr. Situm's lab to see firsthand how they are leading the way in areas like nuclear energy and science and subatomic physics. Saskatchewan's post-secondary institutions are critical to the growth of our province’s innovation ecosystem, driving scientific advancements in key global fields and training the next generation of researchers on emerging technologies.
