Today, we celebrate the history, heritage, resilience and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples across Canada. On Wednesday, we had the privilege of partnering with Hatch to bring our community together to celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day. We were captivated by the powerful performances of Elmer Tootoosis and Lawrence Roy Jr., and delighted by the delicious treats from Mean Green Ice Cream Machine and the mouth-watering bannock tacos and burgers from Kokum's Bannock. It was also a pleasure to welcome Deadly Dan Sauces and Honey Constant-Inglis as our fantastic vendors. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us in celebration and to our incredible performers, food providers, and vendors who made the day unforgettable! #Reconciliation #NIPD2024 #Saskatchewan

What do Cairo, Bangalore and Saskatoon have in common? They are all Centres of Excellence for multinational technology conglomerate Siemens. This week, sales professionals from across Siemens and around the world are in Saskatoon to sharpen their skills and enjoy all that our Innovation Place research and technology park has to offer. There are more than 200 visitors in town to meet another 200 staff headquartered in Saskatoon! You may be wondering: How did the bridge city become such an epicentre for innovation at Siemens? Bill Heiser, Senior Vice President of Technology Solutions for Siemens EDA (Siemens Digital Industries Software), says it best: “We saw the talent and methods that they use to engage customers and grow their business, and they are phenomenal in their ability to acquire and ramp up talent quickly. That, coupled with an affordable city and a time zone and language that matches our largest customer base in North America it made a lot of sense.” Thank you, Siemens, for helping great ideas grow in Saskatchewan!
