WHO WE ARE Regina Airport Authority Inc. (RAA) operates Regina International Airport (YQR) under a multi-year lease with Transport Canada. RAA's local Management Team oversees the day-to-day operations and development of YQR. The Authority is 100% self-financed, and does not receive public monies from any level of government. RAA is part of the unique YQR community, employees play an integral part in providing our passengers with a welcoming airport experience, promoting workplace diversity and play a part in influencing our airport community.   • 📢 We are HIRING! 📢 Regina Airport Authority requires four (4) Seasonal, Equipment Operators based on operational requirements. Individuals are responsible for operating heavy and light duty equipment to ensure the Regina International Airport (YQR) is operating in a safe, secure, and efficient manner. The position is responsible for inspecting and maintaining all site-wide surfaces, while ensuring compliance with the Aerodromes Standards and Recommended Practices (TP 312) and performs general repairs and preventative maintenance work on equipment. The position is responsible to evaluate airside surfaces as per the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and conduct Aircraft Movement Surface Condition Reporting (AMSCR) including Canadian Runway Friction Index (CRFI) in accordance with the Global Reporting Format (GRF). The position is responsible for assisting in emergency situations to ensure YQR is always safe and secure. Please see the attached career post for more information.     🥳🛫Welcome to YQR!📍🗺️ Today, we were thrilled to unveil our new interactive visitor kiosk in partnership with Tourism Regina and supported by Tourism Saskatchewan. The new kiosk will have Tourism Regina staff on-site regularly, helping visitors to YQR learn about all the amazing things happening around southern Saskatchewan. When they aren't around, there are interactive event calendars, videos, guides, maps, and much more available! Thanks to Mayor Sandra Masters, Tourism Regina, Tourism Saskatchewan, and everyone else who came out to support the launch. We look forward to welcoming the world to YQR!

  • 👏Today, we're joining with airports across the country to celebrate Airport Workers Day. There are so many organizations that operate here at YQR to make travel possible, including custodial, parking, security, retail, food & beverage, flight services, air traffic control, border services, screening, ground handling, and airlines, to just name a few. ☕Coffee is on us today for all of our airport workers, as well as cupcakes, and some prizes. Join us in giving a huge thank you to all the incredible staff that wake up every day (many times at very, very early hours) to make travel in and in and out of YQR a fantastic experience! ✈

  • 🧡 In partnership with Newo Yotina Friendship Centre and Canada Border Services Agency, YQR will be hosting an Indigenous Artisan Market in honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day. 🛍️ The market will run 9am-4pm on Wednesday, June 19th (tomorrow!) and will showcase 15 artists, all of which will be available throughout the market to talk about their work. Items for purchase include beadwork, ribbon skirts, paintings, dream catchers and more. Bannock, cookies and orange shirt pins will also be available for a donation to the Newo Yotina Friendship Centre. 🎤 There will be a special event at 11 that includes speeches and dancers from the community. 🚗 Parking is free for anyone attending the event, so be sure to tell your family and friends! 🧡 Stop by to support the makers, the Newo Yotina Friendship Centre and immerse yourself in the Indigenous culture.

  • 📢 We are hiring! 📢 YQR is currently seeking a Supervisor, Airfield Mobile, who will be responsible for the supervision, leadership and development of the airfield maintenance team while directing their assigned work activities. The position will lead a team of equipment operators and heavy duty mechanics and is accountable to ensure that airside and groundside surfaces and equipment are operated and maintained in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry practices. The position provides input into on-site decisions regarding solving problems, meeting regulatory requirements, and achieving objectives. RAA has engaged DHR Global to manage the recruitment of this position. Please see the attached file with more information.   • 🇨🇦bienvenue Montréal!🇨🇦 It was a fantastic day celebrating the very first Air Canada flight of the year to and from Montreal. With incredible connections all across Europe and eastern Canada, as well as being an amazing city itself to explore, we're very excited to have Montreal service back this summer. And - for the first time ever in YQR's history - the service will be non-stop both ways! Flights go Saturdays and Thursdays in June, then ramp up to 7 days a week for the rest of the summer running through September long weekend.

  • ✈️ Earlier this week we were honoured to host the 15th annual IAAE Canada FOAM Conference here in Regina. 🇨🇦 With delegates representing management and operational staff in airports across the country the knowledge and experience in the room was unmatched. 👏 A special thank you to Murad Al-Katib for sharing his incredible story as our keynote speaker, no one could have opened the conference better. 👏 Thank you Mayor Sandra Masters for welcoming our guests and emphasizing the importance of airports in creating jobs, economic development, travel and tourism. 👏 Finally, THANK YOU to everyone who attended and organized this great event! 👏Congratulations to IAAE Canada on 30 years!
