  • Canada Goose: Global Footwear Launch

    Canada Goose, a luxury retail brand, took a huge step into footwear for the first time in the brand’s history. As part of their “Beyond the Parka” growth strategy, they decided to diversify their winter wear by launching a line of high-tech winter footwear.     Canada Goose, a luxury retail brand, took a huge step into footwear for the first time in the brand’s history. As part of their “Beyond the Parka” growth strategy, they decided to diversify their winter wear by launching a line of high-tech winter footwear. For this global launch, Canada Goose wanted to deliver immersive, and engaging integrated brand experiences that would emotionally connect with customers bringing richer storytelling, and an enhanced fit experience to retail locations across Canada, USA, London, Paris, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, with additional locations planned in future.​

    My team provided extensive strategy to help shape the customer journey and identify the role of technology and digital experiences within the physical retail locations. We seamlessly blended our digital experiences with their beautiful store design. As part of our experience strategy, we explored several emerging technology solutions including, AR/VR, 3D Projection Mapping, 3D Holographic, and Spatial Reality Displays, to complement more conventional large-format LED video walls and Digital Signage Displays. We provided conceptual renders, animated presentations, and prototypes that we reviewed during weekly sessions to narrow down the optimal solutions. Throughout this phase of the project, we worked closely with LG for screen-based and DVLED display technology. We also worked closely with the leader in 3D foot scanning technology, Volumental, and HyperVSN for 3D Holographic led fan technology. We provided detailed specifications, shop drawings, integration guides, and costs for the various digital experiences in each location. This allowed Canada Goose to plan budgets and define the customer journey for each location. As we began refining the technology, we began designing and creating the digital experience content. The goal was to establish consistent themes and desired responses from customers in both the technology and content that would roll out globally.

    The award was presented at the DSE 2018 APEX awards gala on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This award celebrates innovative digital experiences, including digital signage, interactive touchscreen, mobile, tablet and compelling viewer content for B2C and B2B companies. Selected by an independent panel of industry experts and journalists.

    This flagship location at Front and John streets in Toronto’s downtown core, is located near the city’s two major sports stadiums: Rogers Centre and the Air Canada Centre. Boston Pizza looked to create an immersive experience, marrying digital and physical to capture Millennials’ attention and position Boston Pizza as the ultimate provider of sports content and information. The digital screens are a one-stop shop for their consumers’ sports needs while dining providing dynamic, RSS-driven, digital messaging with team statistics, player statistics, news, game schedules, team match ups, player match ups, and valuable information for fantasy leagues for all major sports: NBA, NHL, MLS, MLB, NFL.

    DSE is the world’s largest conference and trade show dedicated to innovative digital communication and technology solutions. The APEX Awards celebrate innovative work in this field in nine different categories. This year’s winners were selected from 116 entrants in 10 countries.

    The vibrant new bank branch design utilized integrated digital experiences to engage visitors and help them navigate the space. Customers can choose to learn more about the bank at a digital education zone with curved screens and gesture-controlled interactivity or they can engage directly with a virtual banking concierge. These innovative features contribute to a unique and unforgettable branch experience for all CZ customers.

    Shikatani Lacroix pioneered the blending of augmented reality, virtual reality and neuroscience to test multiple concepts and understand how consumers emotionally responded to different designs. These results were used to refine and create a vibrant new bank branch with integrated digital experiences to engage visitors and help them navigate the space. Customers can choose to learn more about the bank at a digital education zone with curved screens and gesture-controlled interactivity or they can engage directly with a virtual banking concierge. These innovative features contribute to a unique and unforgettable branch experience for all CZ customers.

    Website of the Year Award in the Ecommerce category for the design and implementation of M&M Food Market’s new website. Shikatani Lacroix and M&M Food Market were shortlisted for this award following our Sitefinity Website of the Quarter award win for Q1 2016. After being named a finalist in January 2017, the website won by popular vote and beat out two other major competitors in the category.

    Shikatani Lacroix transformed the M&M brand both instore and online, creating a consistent consumer experience across all platforms. The new website was designed to facilitate this experience using logical information architecture and simple user-friendly navigation that allows customers to easily find and shop for more than 400 products and a growing number of recipes and meal ideas. Responsive design, integration with product and pricing data feeds, a store locator, and the ability for visitors to place eOrders for pick up all contribute to delivering an attractive and intuitive shopping platform. The new site also gives M&M the ability to easily create and display compelling seasonal content.

    Based on the new website, M&M Food Market has seen increased mobile usage and time spent online as well as an improved eOrder experience.
