What do you do if your strategic thinking skills in Brand Management need improvement?
First of all read to understand what the word Brand means and what Brand Management actually is. A startup is not a brand. A not for profit centre of excellence at a Canadian or US university is not a brand. Even a well established family run business is not a brand. A brand is a large, global and highly visible company like Starbucks, Nike, Tesla, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, Samsung, SONY, McDonald's, Disney, Ferrari, Amazon, Walmart, Armani, Versace, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, etc. that is an innovator and leader in their industry. A brand is all about character, the story behind the brand and the differentiation. What did your brand promised to deliver to your customers? Did you deliver quality and value consistently? How do you manage?

You're working with physicians and want to encourage innovation. How can you make it happen?
Know your customer is the #1 rule when you develop a product, deliver a service or create a new experience. When I pitch an idea to physicians I always do my homework. For example, I read annual reports from professional associations to understand their purpose, challenges and success metrics. I read articles about what frustrates physicians today and what they think would make their lives better (i.e. improved productivity, professional satisfaction, mental health support, better technologies, digital tools, more time spent with patients, more income, better recognition). I then try to explain the clinical value and the benefits of digital health, digital therapeutics and AI. Most physicians I talk to want to deliver better health.
