Today, on World Youth Skills Day, we celebrate the importance of equipping young people with the skills they need for employment, entrepreneurship, and overall success. This annual event was established by the United Nations in 2014 to raise awareness about the global need for vocational #education and #training. At Zentiva, we invest in the development of youth skills and recognize the value of #mentoring in shaping the future of #healthcare.   As a founding member of The Parc (the Pharmaceutical Applied Research Center), we are actively involved in nurturing the next generation of #talent. One of its doctoral students, Martin Balouch, focused on bio membranes under the joint supervision of The Parc and the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague. Martin's research efforts earned him the prestigious 2024 laureate in the French Embassy in the Czech Republic’s Prize for Science in the Pharmacy category. In his own words, Martin explained, “A practical view directly from the environment of a pharmaceutical company enabled me to ask myself current and important scientific questions, thanks to which my research took the right direction.” The success of Martin and other young talents at Zentiva exemplifies the importance of strong mentoring relationships in guiding and preparing the next generation. Mentors play a crucial role in helping youth navigate challenges, set, and achieve goals, and develop essential skills. Their guidance shapes the paths of students and unlocks their potential. According to the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology - EAACI, more than 150 million people in Europe suffer from #allergies. The numbers continue to grow, and it is expected that half of the entire European population will be affected. Allergies are now the most common chronic disease in the region, significantly impacting both quality of life and economic costs. An allergy is the immune system's exaggerated response to external stimuli such as pollen, animal hair, dust mites, insect stings, certain foods and much more. Environmental and lifestyle changes, along with climate change, have contributed to the rise in allergic reactions. Today, on World Allergy Day, a joint initiative between the World Health Organization (World Health Organization) and the World Allergy Organization, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of preventing and treating allergies. With heavy hearts, Zentiva is sharing the sad news, that Ermin Sehovic, Finance Manager of Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦, passed away on June 28, 2024. Ermin joined Zentiva in 2020 following the acquisition of Alvogen CEE where he had started in 2013. His leadership, expertise, and dedication profoundly impacted our financial strategy and operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ermin brought more than just his financial acumen; his deep commitment and passion fostered a sense of unity and purpose among us. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Ermin’s family and friends during this difficult time. Ermin will stay in our hearts. #Condolences #RIP #InMemory

Our #Sustainability Pop-Up Exhibition stopped in Zentiva Česká republika this week. Sustainability can easily become a complex and technical topic. At Zentiva, we believe that Sustainability is for everyone. With our new exhibition, we aim to make this topic more accessible and engaging. The enthusiasm and participation we witnessed were truly inspiring. From quizzes to test knowledge to insightful discussions on how to join our planet bootcamp, the exhibition brought sustainability to life, highlighting that every small step counts towards a healthier planet. Now, we are excited to share that our exhibition will be traveling to other countries, spreading the message, and engaging even more Zentiva Ambassadors.
