Info
Advanced Medical Balloons (AMB) is a specialized medical device company. The company develops and markets a novel catheter technology based on microscopically thin, complex-shaped balloon films made of polyurethane (PUR). AMB uses the properties of these extraordinary structures for problem-solving platform concepts in the fecal, urinary and respiratory segments. The current focus is on systems to contain patient contamination. In this context, Advanced Medical Balloons is developing a drainage technology for fecal management in intensive care patients that offers significant advantages in care, hygiene management and patient therapy. The first product of the fecal platform, hygh-tec, is already being used in the DACH region as a technology leader with great success. hygh-tec combines intelligent design with the exceptionally elastic properties of polyurethane. In fecal management, this catheter technology thus offers a uniquely tight access to the patient's colon. This opens up new therapeutically oriented applications. In addition to contamination-free stool drainage, the trans-anal sealing mechanism of hygh-tec also enables an interventional, lavage-like delivery of substances into the colon. The company was founded in 2009 and is based in Waghäusel near Heidelberg, Germany. Imprint: https://amb-medtec.com/en/imprint.php

AMB recently joined forces with the AANN Tampa Bay Chapter to discuss the treatment opportunities with Hygh-tec, our next generation fecal Management System. It is obvious that seal or no-Leakage changes everything. Post-Covid, the pressure on the ICU has increased tremendously. Efficient use of nursing time to care for the patient is essential. The elimination of fecal waste in the bed, the prevention and reduction of skin breakdown or decubitus makes a huge financial difference. Seal reduces the infection spread and protects patients and staff. It was an honor to meet all the passionate members. Thank you for your hard work every day. We will make a big difference together. #hyghtec #rethinkingcriticalcare #criticalcare #AANNTampaBay
