🏎️ May we introduce? “Sajetta”, the Formula Student Racing team car of the Bern Racing Team and, of course, the vibrant team of young students.   The exciting reveal of “Sajetta” took place at the end of June, an event to which sponsors, friends and family were invited. On this evening, we were able to take a first, exclusive glimpse at the brand-new Formula Student Racing team car.   🌍 About the Formula Student competition: Launched 37 years ago by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) in the USA, the Formula Student competition invites engineering students from around the world to design and build prototype racing cars. As Daniel Waller retires from his role as CEO, we look back on a period of significant transformation and success. Since joining us in 1999 at our Frutigen site, Daniel has been instrumental in steering Bucher Hydraulics from a collection of independent locations into a global force. Under his leadership from 2004 onward, Bucher Hydraulics evolved from a small, modestly profitable European company into a major player on the world stage. Today, with a presence from Japan to the Americas, we are recognized for our local sites serving top-tier customers globally. At our recent summer festival in Klettgau, our team had the honor of presenting Daniel with a special gift, designed, and manufactured by our employees. This unique 3D-drawn piece commemorates the milestones of his 20-year tenure as CEO. Daniel Waller, your legacy of integration and expansion will continue to inspire us. Last week, we had the privilege of participating in the Global Fluid Power Society (GFPS) 2024 conference in Hudiksvall, Sweden, supporting the latest ideas of future industry trends. Pascal Kiwitz showed in his keynote how to realize the «energy saving potentials ♻️ of electrohydraulic systems in loading machines ↕️» using Bucher Hydraulics' AX pumps and HELAX actuators. The audience was familiar with the AX pump as a product, but not with the solutions that result from it for the recovery of potential energy. The conference was seamlessly integrated into the local industrial landscape, offering numerous opportunities for industrial visits and an interactive exhibition at the conference site. These activities provided valuable networking opportunities and insights into the latest industry advancements.
