We rely on strong suppliers. On July 15, TTS Group with the brands Festool, exoIQ, SawStop, Shaper and TANOS GmbH honoured our suppliers for exceptional performance in eight categories - measured in terms of quality, delivery reliability, efficiency, sustainability and partnership for the 2023 financial year. We held the award ceremony online in our studio in Wendlingen and around 180 suppliers from the regions of Europe, Asia and the USA took part for the Production Material, OEM and Indirect Material categories have participated. We congratulate the award winners MB Spritzgusstechnik GmbH, HAAS Metallguss GmbH, Thöni Industriebetriebe GmbH, Barthels-Feldhoff GmbH & Co. KG, Paramit Malaysia SDN. BHD, SIQ Ljubljana and Geetech for outstanding achievements in their respective categories. Bernd Meffle GmbH, showed us what is possible in the area of sustainability and CO₂ neutrality in production. Stability in partnership with a focus on competitiveness, risk management and sustainability in the supply chain are the answers to the global challenges of our time and were the focus of this year's event. A supplier base that produces predominantly in Europe forms the basis for our high quality standards and stable production. Together with our partners, we want to further optimise this situation so that we can continue to improve in the future. Many thanks to all our partners for their successful co-operation over the last few years. We are looking forward to next year's award ceremony, which will take place together with the celebration of our 100th company anniversary. During the supplier event, the contents were co-drawn by the graphic designer Michael Schrenk. We are already looking forward to the presentation of the next supplier awards!

In 2023, we launched our battery-operated exoskeleton, the ExoActive, which makes light work of strenuous overhead tasks. It gives you an extra boost of strength before your arms get tired and at the same time takes the load off your neck. Today we take you with us to the construction site. Nick has been in the painting and decorating industry for 17 years. His career began by chance when the original course he wanted to take was completely booked and he could no longer apply. Nick had to find a secondary option, which was a Painting and Decorating course. Today, he is a proud owner of Rushmoor Painting and Decorating business. He has previously won the Painter and Decorator of the Year Award in 2019, Nick is happy of what he has achieved in the industry over the last 17 years. “I‘m by no means the best decorator in the world, but I was chosen as the one that you know, they felt was representing a high standard of work. 99 percent is not enough! 🥇 When it comes to winning a coveted medal in Lyon, maximum precision and nerves of steel are required for the participants in the carpentry and joinery competitions at this year's #WorldSkills. Festool is proud to be a sponsor of the World Skills which will take place in #Lyon from September 10 to 15. In mid-May, the participants for joinery and carpentry of Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France, Italy and the UK met for four days of training in Weinfelden, Switzerland, to prepare for the event in September. In the months leading up to the big #competition, the participants undergo several weeks of intensive target training with the national team of trainers. The aim is to become even faster, more precise and to exchange ideas with the experts. The training is the ideal preparation to score points at the WorldSkills. Festool wishes all participants lots of fun, a versatile and high-quality training in precision and nerves of steel.

Today we want to share a lucky story with you. A dream recently came true for one of our customers: Rory Parker recently won products worth 11,000 € in a raffle. The package includes Festool tools among others the CSC SYS 50 cordless table saw and the Festool 1400 EBQ Router, accessories and on top a bott UK Smartvan racking system for his van. Rory was totally overwhelmed: “You enter these things without any real anticipation of ever winning so it was certainly a surprise, and I couldn’t really believe it at first.” He was invited to visit the company’s UK HQ in Bury St Edmunds to look at what he’d won and receive some product training. All good things come in threes! This also applies to design 🏆 Festool has won three times at this year's iF DESIGN AWARDs with the Exoskeleton ExoActive, the TSV 60 plunge-cut saw with scoring function and the new CXS 12 compact cordless screwdriver, making it one of the winners of the world-renowned design label. The number of applicants was high: the jurors had to award the coveted seal of quality from almost 11,000 submissions from 72 countries. Today is Earth Day! 🌍 The Earth Day takes place every year on April 22 and is intended to remind us how important it is to look after our planet. The Earth Day is now celebrated in more than 190 countries around the world and is one of the biggest days of action for environmental protection. This year's international motto is "Planet vs. Plastics". We are taking this day as an opportunity to raise awareness of the plastic problem - because we, as a manufacturer of power tools, are also aware of our impact on the environment. We face new challenges every day and are constantly setting ourselves new goals to improve our environmental performance. Of course, we are not yet perfect - but we can already share some of our success stories on plastic reduction with you today.
