💎 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 These are the friendly faces behind the Proudr events in Berlin. What is Proudr about? Proudr afterworks are monthly career related meetings for queer people and allies. We organize speed or slow networking sessions and give an open stage to people wanting to pitch a topic. The ambassador team was used to meeting up once a month ahead of the event to catch up, work out feedback and prepare the following afterwork. Then we stopped. Why were - and are - these offline meetings so important to me? 📣 We encourage our guests to give us honest feedback in order to keep up the level or improve the experience at our events. Guess what? Queer afterworks are not always trouble-free. And it's okay - we are all humans and different. Combining several characters, experiences and sensitivities within a community can be a challenge. That's why we need to reflect these evenings together, try to find solutions to better cope with a touchy situation next time. Sometimes it is also good to think about the project as a whole: 👉🏻 Who can still stand listening to our welcome speech? 👉🏻 Who is dreaming of crushing our speed-networking-bicycle-bell? 👉🏻 How does the audience look like? As diverse as our community? 👉🏻 Why should they keep on coming to these events? 👉🏻 Do people rather develop a bound to the community through habit or new experiences? And last but not least - we work as a team. But we do not have time to chit-chat with each other during afterworks. How can we grow as a team if we are not getting to know each other? That is why I am highly supporting offline meetings with the other ambassadors - and first of all, it is always a nice moment. Do you want to check out? I can't believe what's goin' on here within Germany. They need well knowing people. It takes up to 9 months before studied people from other people may work here. The floor in Jobagentur is full of Germans! Seems, many of them are lazy and become comfortable to get in use of social systems care. Think about the following please, if I run an IT company with Help-Desk and in the morning 50 of my 100 employees are calling they are ill for the next three days without must of goin' to a doctor, I'm not able to support my customers anymore. That's why I decide to leave the country, as I want to secure jobs of the ones willing to work. Germany even doesn't move. 20 cars waiting at a traffic light, when one passenger likes to cross the road. They install traffic lights in traffic circles! How stupid is that? They all do cry that they have no specialists of any kind of professions. The ones who come from 'round the globe,... mostly speaking and writing perfectly 3 to 5 or mor languages, better knowlege as well, must wait for about 9 month before allowed a join a company. Emploees may decide by their self to stay home for 3 days, without visiting a doctor!!I tell ya, you can't run a business in Germany anymore. Believe it or not, during the next 10 years Germany will be one of the poorest countries within Europe. You already face a ecomic-fear. Since we raised 160k on kickstarter for our St. Maximilian Kolbe movie, I've been inundated with meeting requests about crowdfunding. I'm unfortunately having to stop taking these meetings but I want to help so I am going to try to offer my advice in a more scalable way here on linked in. Here is the first piece of advice: 👎 🌄 ⏲ DON'T CROWDFUND TO EARLY It's very high stakes. if you do it at the wrong time, don't have the right pitch, or don't have the right proof of concept to show, you risk publicly failing, which can really damage your ability to make this project AND your next projects happen. 💰 DON'T CROWDFUND if you just need money. Crowdfunding is the absolute hardest way to raise money. Getting 100 10k- 30k checks is way easier then getting 160k in a crowdfunding campaign. These are for buy-in and marketing, the money is extra frosting. 🎞 DON'T CROWDFUND if you don't have a ready made, bad ass product to sell. Crowdfunding isn't for the making of the product. Unfortunately its much better for getting that product manufactured, printed, or distributed. If you are budding filmmaker that wants money for production, don't try unless you have a really strong proof of concept already made. 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 DON'T DO IT until you've validated and honed your idea by getting to 100% certainty that you have an audience that is ravenously hungry for the type of thing you want to make.

Producing Indie films is hard to manage.📽️😞 Despite our experiences and the many contacts we have already made, we are often confronted with difficult challenges.😓Of course, many concerns revolve around topics like financing, distribution, marketing and festivals. But sometimes the most unexpected things happen.😦 Expecting the unexpected is something indie filmmakers struggle a lot.❗ 📋You have to improvise when it's necessary. Always have a backup plan up your sleeve.⌚Time is key. Be completely prepared when starting shooting. 🎬You have to know about film rights.🤝Legal questions need to be clarified. Protect your rights and don't infringe on someone else's rights.🗣️Constant negotiations are part of the business. 📚With a small team, your own scope of tasks can expand significantly.🧐You have to be curious to learn new skills. 👥A constantly growing network must be maintained.☝️Criticism and compromise will occur.  These are a few examples that can arise and you need to consider when you decide to start making Indie films. 👤🎥But when you are passionate about it, like we are, no setbacks will stop you!💪 #filmmaking #supportindiefilm #film #filmmaker #challenges #featurefilm #financing #distribution #filmproduction #filmmakerslife

The Results – From 5 Concepts To Countless Possibilities When Daniel Kallhoff and I planned the social content production for mute-labs last summer, we faced an initial challenge. We asked ourselves: How do we manage to create the maximum output of one and a half days of production at a single location, while maintaining the highest possible quality and variety? 🥴 For us, the solution was this: We started by developing 5 concepts optimized for display as ads on Facebook and Instagram. The structure of these concepts was based on the classic AIDA framework, from a compelling hook at the beginning to a clear call-to-action at the end. In order to give us the opportunity for structured testing, variants were then added to each concept. At the bottom line, we were thereby able to serve different angles and target groups with just one adapted concept. Today, my partner Jakob and I had the privilege of attending the Hinterland of Things in Bielefeld, where I gained valuable insights from various thought leaders, including Martin Böhringer of Staffbase. Martin Böhringer addressed the pervasive issue of distrust in our society. According to him, distrust in politicians and media is a significant problem today. He highlighted a study indicating that many people are reluctant to work with colleagues holding different political views, which exacerbates workplace polarization. A study by Edelman found that only 19% of people would be willing to work with someone who disagrees with their point of view. Böhringer also noted that Thanksgiving dinners in the US are now an hour shorter when attendees have differing political affiliations, showcasing the impact of political division on personal relationships. Interestingly, despite this widespread distrust, people increasingly trust their CEOs more than ever before. According to the 2023 Edelman Trust Barometer, "my employer" is the only trusted institution among those who see their country as polarized. Böhringer emphasized the importance of focusing on topics that unify people rather than polarize them. He encouraged leaders to look forward and find solutions instead of attacking current positions and opinions. Attending this conference was a reminder of the power of trust and unity in driving positive change. Payouts to German Artists Quadrupled 📈 In the course of our All Music Friday convention today, we published new local payout data for the German market: 💰 More than 1000 German artists have received more than 50,000 euros in royalties from Spotify alone in 2023. This means that the number of German artists who have reached this level in terms of royalties from Spotify has more than quadrupled since 2017. 💰 The total share of German creatives in the royalty pot was also published: German artists earned more than 409 million euros in royalties from Spotify alone in 2023 - more than four times the amount achieved in 2017. 🔝 We also reported details on the importance of the domestic repertoire in the platform's day-to-day business: German artists were responsible for 73 percent of the tracks that were represented in the daily top 50 lists in Germany last year. 🔎 In addition, almost 9000 German artists and their songs were added to editorial playlists on Spotify and listeners discovered German acts for the first time on Spotify more than 6.7 billion times. https://lnkd.in/dh6WW2Sd

This filmproject might be uncomfortable at times, as I don’t have all the answers. And I'm not sure if I ever will. But let's start. Since I started applying for a job in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion I found out that a lot of major corporate companies don't really now how to deal with #DEI. It made me curious... Starting next year, listed #companies could face #fines if they fail to address these issues. But it's not just about compliance. Embracing #diversity can lead to better business operations, as numerous studies have shown. But how does it actually work? Is it just about closing the gender gap and celebrating cultural diversity, or is there more to it? Is it a #checklist to be completed, or does true change come from within? Does setting a good example as a management team (MT) make a difference? What exactly does D&I encompass? Is it about gender, culture, race, neurological diversity, or simply raising awareness?
