Field Services Engineer

Title: Japanese or Mandarin speaking Field Service Engineer

Location: Dresden, Germany (Might have 3-12 months of training in Japan at first.)

Hybrid working policy: 2 days/w at home in Germany - Depending on the situation.

Salary: €60,000 -100,000 / year (Depending on your knowledge and experience)

Language: Fluency in English / Business Japanese or Mandarin is a must

■Job profile

A Japanese global manufacturing company is looking for someone that can handle field service engineering

activities to company customers.

■Main responsibilities

· Receive service calls from customers; determining customer needs, problems and responding accordingly.

· Provide over-the-phone consultation and advice to customers; including emergency situations, as well as

schedule and repair Company products at customer site.

· Perform preventative maintenance on Company products.

· Establish and manage a local maintenance service structure.

· Inspect and evaluate customer usage of Company products.

· Provide training to customers in usage and maintenance of Company products.

· Provide application support on Company products to customer.

· Liaison between customer and Applications Programmer for customer requests involving a change in

applications.

· Research market needs and customer applications of Company products.

· Submit application report to management in a timely manner.

· Support sales activities, whilst establishing and maintaining a good relationship with customers.

· Participate in sales meetings as required.

· Submit various reports: such as service reports, weekly report, and expense report to management in a timely

manner.

· Receive follow-up and additional training on Company products in Japan.

· Responsible for maintaining company parts and tools.

· Minimize downtime of systems.

■Qualification

· Valid working visa holder in the EU.

· Able to frequently have 4-6 weeks of business trips all over Europe for the first 2 years.

· Master's / Doctor's degree would be highly advantage. (Mechatronics, Electrical, Optic, Lithography-especially Extreme ultraviolet lithography, Mechanical, or Semiconductor related study).

· Bachelor's degree is a MUST (Mechatronics, Electrical, Optic, Lithography-especially Extreme ultraviolet lithography, Mechanical, or Semiconductor related study).

· English, and Japanese or Mandarin speaking is a MUST.

· Only for Japanese speaker, able to take 3-12 months of training in Japan (Negotiable).

· Driver’s License.

· Someone who meets the following criteria would be preferable;

1. Study regarding Optic, Mechatronics, Semiconductor, lithography(especially Extreme ultraviolet lithography) related fields.

2. Experience in maintenance with semiconductor-related products (Mask inspection system would be ideal).

3. Plenty of knowledge or experience in R&D in the semiconductor field.

4.Currently lives in Japan, Europe, Taiwan, or Singapore.
