Deggendorf Institute of Technology is one of the most dynamic universities in southern Germany and is the most research-intensive university of applied sciences in the whole of Bavaria. In the first quarter of 2023 alone, 27 new projects were approved with a funding volume of over 14 million euros.
Professors and scientists are supported in shaping applied research in an innovative and lively way for regional development and beyond. For example, professors receive teaching relief for research projects and to initiate research.
The diversity of research activities can be divided into four main research areas: "Digital Economy and Society", "Sustainable Materials, Processes and Energy Technology", "Intelligent Mobility" and "Innovative Working World and Healthy Living".
