Technical Sales Representative

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the full sales process and as a result be able to prospect clients and close deals. They should be well organized and be able to manage the daily operations of assigned accounts. In order to continue to generate revenue, this candidate should be able to uncover new client needs and find a way to add value to their business. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Ability to learn the applications of our ecosystem and products and to provide professional advice to customers (technical & product mindset required).
  • Identify and build relationships with OEMs, electrical contractors, wholesalers, lighting designers, and consultants.
  • Prepare quotations and contracts for customers.
  • Manage existing customer relationships and orders.
  • Develop new accounts in the DACH region, actively seeking new projects and identifying key decision-makers.
  • Communicate with customers/representatives via email and telephone in a timely manner to ensure the smooth and profitable execution of lighting control projects.
  • Track projects and business opportunities in our CRM system (keeping abreast of customer needs, technical capabilities, and current trends).
  • Conduct frequent customer visits to present our latest products & developments and support sales, including on-site troubleshooting.
  • Ability to understand and communicate key business priorities, both internally among team members and externally with customers.


Requirements

  • Experience of working with lighting controls and lighting components: e.g. LED drivers, motion sensors, DALI, Bluetooth wireless App control, HVAC control, building management system, etc.
  • Experience with lighting OEM's or contractors/wholesalers preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills in English and German.
  • Independent, flexible, goal oriented, proactive, confident and passionate.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills Strong understanding of full sales process
  • Experience utilizing customer relationship management software

  • Attractive salary (€60,000-€75,000) before tax + bonus programme
  • The fixed salary is largely dependent on the level of technical competence, industry knowledge and also previous work experience.
  • Bonus is based on sales performance and will be calculated at the end of the year.
