    Welcome to Athens 🇬🇷   The opening of our new office in Kifissia – one of the oldest and most beautiful suburbs of Athens – was recently celebrated at an opening event for colleagues, partners, and media representatives. The event was kicked off with speeches and a creative fashion show featuring outfits from our brands. The catwalk had models walking on water and then fresh grass and flowers as a subtle nod to our Fashion FWD strategy.     The award-winning Prison Museum in Horsens, Denmark, set the frame for the presentation of the new Spring collections from SELECTED FEMME/HOMME ✨   Sales teams arrived from markets across the world to attend a schedule including strategy and design presentations, in-depth workshops and even a special visit by Södra, who presented their innovative fibre OnceMore®. OnceMore® is the world’s first large-scale process for recycling blended fabrics. After collecting used textiles from their network of suppliers, OnceMore® revives a minimum of 20% recycled textile, combining it with renewable wood cellulose from responsibly run forests to create a material that closes the loop. Today, the product consists of 20% recycled content and 80% wood.   “OnceMore® blends well with other fabrics, so it has been incredibly easy for us to design with.     Meet Simon Khong Harbjerg, Brand Director in VILA.   It’s been nearly six years since Simon walked through the doors of VILA – and felt love at first sight. The people, the culture, the potential, it all felt right immediately. And his achievements speak of a perfect match between Simon and the VILA team.   “We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved. Together, we have managed to grow our business by 70% over the past 5 years, and we have built a solid business platform for ourselves, a culture and a brand house we are proud of,” says Simon.   He was born and raised in Aarhus, Denmark, not too far away from VILA’s head office in Stilling. His way into the fashion industry was a student job during law school that ended up being career-defining. After spending more than 10 years traveling and working in different parts of the world, Simon returned to Aarhus to settle down and then found his way into BESTSELLER.   “Although I worked in various parts of the fashion industry, BESTSELLER was somehow always lurking in the distance. I suppose it's quite natural being a boy from Jutland,” says Simon.   Besides ensuring that VILA remains diligent and reactive towards an ever-changing market, his attention and focus are currently turned towards the B2C business.   “We are confident of the strong potential for expansion in retail, which has already created significant positive results over the last years. Our concept has proven solid, and the market appears ripe, so we plan to seize all opportunities at hand,” says Simon.   Outside of work, Simon dedicates his time to his wife and their four-year-old son. The family enjoys traveling and experiencing the world together.
