Using solar energy to power GSE☀️ ADG (Airport Development Group) has been an early adopter of sustainable practices in their goal to create more sustainable airports. And the largest airside solar system in the world is proving it in Darwin International Airport💪 Battery driven eGPUs utilize Darwin Airport’s solar energy to power aircraft parked at the gate, and PCAs are powered by solar energy providing pre-conditioned air into the aircraft✈️ The solar farm is important in powering all of the airport’s infrastructure and helping the airport achieve their zero emissions target by 2023🍀🌏👌 #itwgse #DarwinAirport #SolarPower

Thank you for visiting! 🤝 Last week, we welcomed Manea Alsharahrani from Saudia Technic,  Imran Uddin from Atkins and Philip Bousleiman from Avicorp to carry out a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) on our 2400' series of ground power units (30-90 kVA's). Celebrating Henrik Olsson's 40 years of work anniversary! 🥳 Henrik's heart has always been beating for innovation and he was part of the team that developed the company's very first 400 Hz ground power unit back in 1987. 🔌 He was appointed General Manager in year 2000 when the company was acquired by Illinois Tool Works and spearheaded together with his teams the company's change process implementing ITW’s Business Model incl. the 80/20 principle ✔️ In 2012, Henrik was appointed Vice President/General Manager for the Ground Support Division with several foreign production companies. Since 2022, Henrik has been assisting other ITW companies in optimizing their businesses, both as 80/20 Tool Box Coach and as Interim General Manager 🤝 ITW GSE’s company history and success over the years leans heavily on Henrik's commitment and drive. His dedication to the well-being of the team lead to the implementation of 30 minutes of exercise during work hours 5 days a week - something that now after 15 years has become an important part of the company's DNA.
