    Technology plays a key role in promoting sustainability through the adoption of non-combustion vehicles, micro-mobility, and decarbonization efforts. 🌱As urban landscapes and the global population continue to grow, alongside increasing environmental concerns, the importance of utilizing technology effectively in the ecological transition is essential. One of our 2030 sustainability targets is for 67% of orders to be delivered by non-combustion vehicles, including bicycles or electric vehicles (EVs). 🚲 We believe that apps like ours 📱are uniquely positioned to improve life in cities; from helping customers make more informed decisions to optimizing order efficiency. We’re actively and consciously working to make a transition to electric vehicles. 🇭🇷 Croatia 🇭🇷 We’ve made it easier for local e-vehicle leasing companies to acquire more EVs. Today, 50% of the fleet in Croatia is Electric. 🇵🇱 Poland 🇵🇱 Together with Eternis, we’ve launched an EV program to start the transition to electric vehicles across our fleet in the country 🇷🇴Romania 🇷🇴 We’re collaborating at scale with E-Mobility-Rentals This transition not only changes the way we move around but improves the quality of life for city dwellers.     And just like that, another amazing Culture Day is officially in the record books! 🍬🪩 The day was packed with #candylicious delights and inspiring talks from Glovo leaders. We even had a special guest appearance from Tom Manktelow from Mars, who added an extra layer of sweetness to our festivities! The biggest news from the day that we’re excited to share is that we’ve changed our company vision! Our new vision is: We are building the largest marketplace in your city to give you access to anything in minutes. Culture Day wouldn’t be complete without a little extra fun and time to boogie! 🕺After the talks, our colleagues across the Glovo world enjoyed a candy-themed party that Willy Wonka himself would have been proud of.     #Glovo may be present in 23 countries, but our heart is in #Spain. 🇪🇸⚽ Here’s how the final match played out compared to an average Sunday in 2024: Even if orders for Spanish food grew by 28% during the final, the category that saw the biggest growth was the Gourmet category, with a +181% increase on game day! Who says matches are just for junk food? 😋 🟥 No red cards here! In #Sevilla, one user loves pizza so much that they ordered nearly €350 of pizza at Grosso Napoletano before the match! Before and after the match, grocery orders were also on the rise, with a +25% increase before and +22% after the match. The food categories that had the biggest growth for the match are: 🍿 Snacks: +64%  🍩Sweets: +32%  🍦Ice Cream: +13% Congratulations to the #Spanish National Team on their recent #EuroCup2024 win! 🏆 #GlovoSpain

    In #Ukraine 🇺🇦, we’ve teamed up with UNITED24 to raise funds for robots that can deliver where couriers cannot due to the ongoing war. 🤖 About this initiative, Maryna Pavliuk, General Manager of Glovo Ukraine, comments that “couriers and partners in Ukraine have repeatedly proved their resilience and ability to work under difficult conditions. However, there are places in Ukraine where delivery services are impossible, but necessary. That is why we, together with our partners, are raising funds for logistics robots, which are very useful to people who need help in remote or dangerous areas." The campaign involves 280 partners, including Puzata Khata, Pizza Day, Doner Market, OKKO, WINETIME, and others. You can donate to this cause by simply opening the Glovo app and selecting ‘Fundraising for Robots’. Located outside of Ukraine? No problem! Simply change your delivery address to any location in Kyiv and the storefront will change to Ukraine. From there, you can click on the ‘Fundraising for Robots’ bubble and you will be able to donate directly through our app. 📅 Donations will be open until July 28th. #GlovoUkraine #Glovo #United24

    Last week, we invited some of our most frequent users to #YellowPark for our very first Customer Meet & Greet Event. 🫱🏼🫲🏾 We welcomed our customers with a behind-the-scenes presentation by Daniel Alonso Moreno, our VP of Product, on how user research shapes the #Glovo app and why their feedback is integral to improving our app. We then gathered small groups of product developers, designers and other tech staff to engage in feedback discussions with our guests about their experiences using our app. A big thank you to everyone who participated! 🎉 Our goal is to be closer to our users and get feedback directly from the source.     The Euro Cup is coming to an end but that doesn’t mean that we’re slowing down with orders! 🚲While we were sad to see the Croatian team 🇭🇷 get knocked out at the group stage, we found some interesting data around consumption habits and match days. ⚽ 🛒On average, grocery orders increased by 55% in the hour leading up to matches. 🍺 Beer was the most ordered grocery item, with a +180% compared to the average in 2024 so far. 🍽️ We’ve seen an +25% average increase in restaurant orders 🍝 Italian cuisine saw a 111% increase in orders during the Italy vs. Croatia Match.     In 3 Ukrainian 🇺🇦 cities, #Kyiv, #Odesa, and #Dnipro - a frontline city dealing with constant air alerts - we invited psychologists to conduct stress-reducing exercises, meditations, and give recommendations on how to cope with panic attacks and internal anxiety states. We currently operate in 37 cities in the country, many of which experience air raid alerts on a regular basis. With Couriers out in the city on a daily basis, we wanted to help combat this stress by conducting trainings for couriers operating under psychological duress: "How to effectively manage stress in wartime". While we understand this is a small action, we are completely committed to supporting Ukraine in their recovery and providing essential aid - both physical and psychological- to those in need across our ecosystem. #GlovoUkraine #Ukraine

    This past weekend, we helped the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria celebrate the 4th of July 🎆at the Sofia Tech Park. Our partner, McDonald's 🍔🍟, invited us to transport their products from 3 of their restaurants in #Sofia to the event, where party-goers got the true American experience with a dash of #Glovo. The party brought a taste of the U.S.A. 🇺🇲 to Bulgaria, kicking off the event with a 4th of July Parade with American iconic cars 🛻, a marching band 🥁, and cheerleaders. 📣 #GlovoBulgaria #McDonalds

    Have you ever wondered what happens to our iconic #Glovo Bags when they’re no longer fit to carry orders to our customers? We’ve developed a variety of initiatives across the Glovo world to ensure that our old Glovo bags don’t just go to waste. ♻️ 🇺🇬In #Uganda, we’ve partnered with Planet 3R to give a new life to Glovo backpacks, reusing 90% of the materials to create new backpacks. The only materials used from the Planet 3R store were Ankara, belt, zip lining, and thread. (photos 1-2) 🇵🇱In #Poland, we’re collaborating with Do Oddania and the Fundacja Splot Społeczny to repurpose used delivery backpacks donated by Couriers into thermal mats for shelter animals in Poland. (photos 3-5) 🇰🇪In #Kenya, we’ve refurbished Glovo Bags into school bags for around 200 children in need.
