YOUR CHALLENGE

➔ Drive the design, development and execution of first-to-market and/or nutritionally

& sensorially superior products in the market and develop and/or improve

manufacturing processes accordingly.

➔ Manage R&D projects from initial prototyping through to implementation; with

a strong focus on processing. This involves:

◆ Conceptualize and develop manufacturing processes to commercialize

new products.

◆ Evaluate, optimize and improve existing processes.

◆ Assess the process capabilities of potential new manufacturing partners.

◆ Engage early in the product concept and design stage to understand key

design principles and define the best process.

◆ Communicate process designs effectively.

◆ Engage and build rapport with equipment manufacturers.

◆ Document and communicate results through reports and presentations.

◆ Foster a collaborative learning environment.

◆ Travel up to 30% for FATs and plant trials.

➔ Function as processing expert and advisor within the Product Development team,

and key R&D contact point for Operations.

➔ Represent R&D in cross-functional Project meetings and ensure that all project

work is within the governance of our internal system.

➔ Complete proper Knowledge Management throughout

Requirements

➔ A BS in an Engineering and/or process engineering discipline.

➔ 7+ years in a food process manufacturing environment is a must. Extrusion

experience is a plus.

➔ Experience in process engineering and design.

➔ Experience in commercializing new food processing technology and processes to

multiple manufacturing facilities and locations.

➔ Experience in optimizing existing manufacturing processes.

➔ Experience in leading projects from concept through validation: equipment

specification, installation, commissioning, qualification, and verification.

➔ Experience in sanitary design, food processing as well as HACCP and other food

production standards.

➔ Strong analytical and data driven problem-solving.

➔ Fluency in English is a must.

➔ Ability to thrive in a diverse, dynamic team.

➔ Comfort around ambiguity and change
