Position Overview:

As a Product Engineer at a leading automotive Tier 1 supplier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring their products meet technical design requirements and customer expectations. You will be involved in various stages of the product lifecycle, from the initial quotation phase to the ongoing support and improvement of the product. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to ensure that products meet all design and performance requirements.
• Work closely with the design department to interpret and validate design specifications and standards.
• Collect and analyze data to determine the feasibility of new part projects.
• Conduct detailed assessments to identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during the quotation phase.
• Gather customer requirements and provide accurate and timely quotations.
• Monitor and follow up on product development and production progress.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including design, production, and quality assurance, to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Identify opportunities for product improvements and cost reductions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement design enhancements and process optimizations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field, with experience or Master’s degree.
• Proficiency in English & French.
• Experience in design of plastic parts for automotive industry, and in plastic parts project development (at least 5 years).
• Knowledge in injection process, molds, and design rules for plastic parts.
• Project management skills.
• Leadership, able to make clear synthesis, organized, rigorous, good communication.
