Context:

We are on the lookout for a forward-thinking Network Architect to spearhead the enhancement of our network infrastructure. This role is pivotal as we aim to scale our operations and incorporate our global entities into a cohesive network system. The ideal candidate will embark on a comprehensive audit of our current network setup, identify gaps, suggest improvements, and design a new, robust network architecture.

The challenge:

Initial 3 Months: Conduct a thorough audit of Signaturit's Spain network infrastructure, identifying current gaps and areas for improvement. Develop a comprehensive understanding of our network needs, design a new network architecture, and outline a strategic roadmap for enhancements if required.

Afterwards: Begin the execution phase, implementing the improvements and changes outlined in the roadmap. Start the process of incorporating the global Signaturit Group into the newly designed network architecture, ensuring a seamless and unified network environment across the organization.

Key responsibility

• Engage in deployment, management, and security of network devices and software, including but not limited to Netgear switches, Dell hardware, PF Sense, and Fortigate firewalls.
• Proficient in managing SSL/IPsec VPN configurations, knowledge in Software Defined Networking (SDN) technologies would be great
• Demonstrated ability to work within Linux environments, optimizing network performance and security.
• Engage in strategic planning and the execution of network projects, ensuring alignment with Signaturit’s growth and technology roadmap.

What experience and skills do I need?

• Deep technical knowledge in network engineering: switching, routing, firewalls, VLANs, communication protocols, configuration, maintenance, and security.
• Proficient in Linux environments, with experience in deploying and managing network devices and software (e.g., Netgear switches, Dell hardware, PF Sense, Fortigate firewalls).
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement strategic network architectures that support scalability, security, and efficiency.
• Skilled in managing SSL/IPsec VPN configurations and knowledgeable about Software Defined Networking (SDN) technologies.
• Experience with global network integration, capable of collaborating across geographical boundaries.
• Excellent communication skills in English (B2 level or higher), capable of conducting technical discussions and providing mentorship.
• Proactive and innovative problem solver, with a track record of identifying and addressing network system gaps before they escalate.
• A collaborative team player who values knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and improvement.
