Technical Support Engineer

Operator Support Service:

For a project in an important company in the telecommunications environment, a person is required to fill a position in a technical support team, with experience in CPDs and customer service.

Experience: 2 to 5 years

Work modality: In-person (on site) 100% Working from office

Service provided 24x7 in rotating shifts.

Work location: Barcelona, Spain

Project start date: Immediate

Language speaking: Spanish

Type for hiring: Permanent/Fixed term contract.

Features:

• Monitoring and operation of equipment, servers and applications
• Perform maintenance and control tasks in the Datacenter
• Execution of management and incident resolution procedures
• Participate in the improvement and development of supervision, management and operation systems, tools and procedures
• Operation and maintenance of platforms, both internal and dedicated to clients.
• Support in the provision of IT Systems services
• First level resolution of incidents related to IT Systems

Required Knowledge:

• Knowledge and experience in the administration/operation of Microsoft Server environments
• Knowledge and experience in operating Linux-based systems and knowledge in Unix environments is valued.
• Knowledge and experience in management and monitoring tools (Hobbit/Xymon, HPOV, Nagios, Cricket, MRTG, etc.)
• Knowledge and demonstrable experience in Plesk, Cpanel or similar applications
• Knowledge and demonstrable experience with server virtualization technologies with both Microsoft and VMWare technology. Knowledge of other virtualization environments (Xen, KVM, Parallels, etc.) is valuable.
