    Balenciaga supports Share Africa – Africa Fashion Up, a program committed to promoting a vibrant and innovative Africa by encouraging local designers, for the 4th consecutive year. Last week, finalists visited the Balenciaga flagship located on avenue Montaigne in Paris. They also attended personalized awareness sessions led by internal experts about retail techniques, supply chains, pricing and wholesaling. In the coming year, they will also benefit from a four-month mentorship program with Balenciaga senior leaders offering guidance through their entrepreneurial journey. Congratulations to Rich Mnisi, founder of Rich Mnisi and laureate of the Designer Africa Fashion Up 2024 prize. With this collaboration, Balenciaga demonstrates its commitment to foster the professional development of young creators from diverse locations, experiences, and backgrounds.     Balenciaga has just opened a new bi-level store in Madrid, Spain. The combined 394-square meter space offers the latest Balenciaga collections.   Its design extends the brand’s experiential Raw Architecture concept, which leaves surfaces intentionally untreated and adds faux-industrial elements to the mix. The boutique's construction respects existing structural elements and exposes their accumulated histories. Fewer new materials are used.     Balenciaga 53rd Couture Collection, Looks 15 & 17 Crafted in the Balenciaga ateliers, this t-shirt presented as part of the 53rd Couture Collection took 70 hours to hand-paint. Its motif is meant to recall music merch. To make the top true Couture, it was assembled in cotton terry molleton, cut, sewn, stonewashed, and faded entirely by hand. Its total assembly time is about 140 hours. Following the presentation in Paris, a selection of pieces is available via exclusive release at the Balenciaga Couture Store located below the House’s salons and ateliers, at 10 avenue George V.
