Our history began 75 years ago, with a simple yet disruptive idea: “If you can’t afford to buy a car, why not rent one when you need it?”. For 75 years, we have remained true to this original spirit, offering innovative services to make mobility easier, more accessible and progressively more sustainable. Wishing to express this heritage of service in a similarly simple and relevant way as 75 years ago, we have re-defined our Purpose as: “We help to change the way you move”. As we collectively embark on a transformation journey while actively contributing to shape the future of mobility, our new Purpose film reflects our DNA and what drives us forward. #wehelptochangethewayyoumove #mobility #heritage #travel #sustainability

[Europcar stories] Meet Rene, the heartbeat of teamwork at Europcar Hamburg! Joining us in 2019 as a retail agent, he embarked on a journey of career development and evolution. Rene's path with the Europcar team includes successfully opening a new station and receiving the "You Make The Difference" award (employees who stand out for their performance and/or commitment). Rene's story with Europcar began at 6 years old, helping his mom stamp leaflets at her station. Fast forward to 2024, Rene's now thriving in operations, training new station employees in damage management processes. He wholeheartedly recommends Europcar as a workplace where each day brings new opportunities in a friendly atmosphere. The proof is in the pudding: he recommended the company to his wife, who has been working at Europcar for two years now.

Our journey towards decarbonization 🚗 Sustainability is a long journey, which we started 20 years ago, being the first car rental player to join the UN Global Compact in 2005 and, more recently, the first industry player to have its GHG reduction targets validated by SBTI. And it is all about committing, taking action, and measuring progress. With the publication of our 2023 Non-Financial Performance Statement, we highlight our progress towards CO2 emissions reduction and how we are concretely helping our customers to change the way they move: https://lnkd.in/eE3qfRmq

Like every year, the ITB in Berlin is an occasion for us to invite all our franchisees and partners to a two-days event tailored around their expectations and needs. We call it the "Global Conference". The programme of the 2024 edition was particularly rich and insightful for our 160 guests from all over the world: they had the opportunity to discover our new Strategic Plan, #Exceed and what's in it for them, be it at brands, tech, e-commerce or sales level. All this in a highly interactive manner, allowing for fruitful discussions where #Expand, the 2nd pillar of our strategic plan, was - rightfully so - the core topic. Big up to our International Partner Development team for the great organisation: Mark Lister, Sybille LEGRIS, Claudia Pando, Fatou Axelle B., Nikki Mancini, Jack Wetzel, Irina Patterson, Saif Salim, Paul Green. Special thanks to Alain Favey, Philip de Klerk, Jose Blanco, Christian Bouzaid, Claire Charbit, Stéphane Crasnier, Carlos Leira, Dominique Speekenbrink and Sybille Van Steijn-Huc for their support and active contribution to the success of the 2024 edition of the "Global Conference". As well as to Nikos Passias, Nitin Sapre, Jorge Damas, DAVIDE MANCINI, Clive Forsythe, Anna V., Samantha Sterry, Gaetan Mondet, Riccardo Mastrovincenzo, Claire Cavaglione and Tobias Zisik. That was a real #OneTeam effort, with fantastic feedback received from our Franchise partners across the world. 👏 👏 👏 Rendez-vous in 2025!

[Europcar stories] Thierry has been working at the Europcar Roissy key hub for 21 years! His job as a team leader allows him to live diverse experiences every day, from hiking vehicles (which the car enthusiast he is particularly enjoys) to managing staff and supporting customers on the phone. This positive working environment and the diversity of his assignments ensure that he always has a positive outlook. If his colleagues had to describe him, they'd say Thierry is someone who always has a sunny disposition. ☀

Did you know? Yesterday was National Carsharing Day in France. Car-sharing remains relatively unknown and not yet widely adopted, but its concept is simple yet impactful. It's about renting a car for specific needs, whether it's for a business meeting, a cultural trip, or everyday errands. Here are some compelling facts worth remembering: - Private cars are typically used only 5% of the time, spending the remaining 95% parked. - The total cost of owning a vehicle has risen steadily in recent years, driven by inflation. - Each car-sharing vehicle can replace 5 to 8 individual cars, reducing congestion and emissions. - Regular car-sharing users embrace multi-modal mobility, combining car-sharing with public transport, cycling, and walking. Given its numerous benefits, it's no surprise that car-sharing is slowly but steadily gaining traction across major cities, medium-sized towns, and even rural areas. However, its growth still relies on public support to accelerate and scale. Yesterday's discussions in Lyon, organized by the Association des Acteurs de l'Autopartage, were pivotal in shaping the future of mobility. The event, held in partnership with ADEME, Cerema, La Fabrique des Mobilités, and Flottes Automobiles, was welcomed by the dynamic Métropole de Lyon, one of the most active and innovative cities in France in terms of mobility. Our Group, represented by Jehan de Thé, our Public Affairs Director and Chairman of the Association des Acteurs de l'Autopartage, is proud to be actively involved in this initiative, advocating for sustainable and accessible transportation solutions. ☀[125.000 CONNECTED VEHICLES]☀ Another significant milestone for our Connected Vehicles programme: we have reached 50% of our Group’s fleet now connected. 💪💪💪 It's great news, because vehicle connectivity - either natively through partnerships with car manufacturers or by adding telematics solutions to vehicles - is a key enabler to improve fleet management efficiency and customer experience. Talking about partnerships: our program has notably been accelerated thanks to #Ford Pro, which allowed a seamless access to their vehicles’ telemetry data such as geolocation, fuel level, mileage and maintenance alerts. Thanks to @Chris Miller, at #Ford Pro, who made it possible. 🙏 Not forgetting Caroline Jannel, Roy Tippner, Rodrigue Estephan, Quintus Snapper, SEBASTIEN ALBERTUS and the whole Stéphane Crasnier's team at Europcar Mobility Group, who are working towards 100% of our fleet being connected by the end of 2024. 42% of women within our Group 42 % of female managers 11 of our 25 biggest stations managed by a woman Figures at what they are: although they show positive trends, they do not prevent us from going further. We are not far from the par! A little more effort ;-) Gender balance, diversity and inclusion are long adventures. Let's move forward! #InternationalWomensDay #InvestInWomen #inspireinclusion
