About the Company:

We are a global consultancy specializing in offshore geoscience and geotechnical engineering. We primarily serve the offshore renewable energy sector and occasionally work in the oil and gas industry.


Our team is expanding, especially with the development of wind farms in the North Sea, Baltic Sea, Mediterranean, United States, and Asia.


About the Role:

We are seeking a Junior Finance Business Partner to join our team in Nanterre (Paris area, France). You will work closely with our finance and operations teams to support our offshore energy projects. Your responsibilities will include:


  • Finance Business Partner: Collaborate with engineering teams in Belgium, France, and Italy to monitor and control project budgets, expenses, and financial performance.
  • Adhoc Analyses: Conduct financial modeling, forecasting, and profitability assessments.
  • Monthly Management Reporting: Ensure accurate financial records based on cost and revenue analysis, including provisions.
  • Budget & Forecast: Prepare budgets and forecasts based on actuals for both engineering projects and supporting departments.
  • Invoicing and Intercompany Transactions: Guide project-related invoicing to clients and monitor intercompany transactions.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and improvement of financial processes and internal controls in company-wide initiatives. Install new solutions for Business Control Reporting via D365.
  • Team Collaboration: Be part of the Business and Financial Controlling Team to ensure accurate reconciliations and recommend and implement best practices.


Qualifications:

  • A master’s or bachelor’s degree in Economics or Finance.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch and French is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with complex data sets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 and PowerBI is desirable.
