What happened?

Lighthouse/Pagespeed returns the message "error: PAGE_HUNG" or hangs on "Running performance analysis"

What did you expect?

Expected to see web vitals report

What have you tried?

We have been using PageSpeed Insights/Lighthouse for approximately a year to benchmark our site, with no issues. Yesterday, it seems there was an update released, now this tool either returns the message "error: PAGE_HUNG" or hangs on "Running performance analysis"

We have tried removing various components from our site to isolate the issue. We discovered that removing "SwiperJS" [https://swiperjs.com] component from the page allows PageSpeed to complete successfully. Please note, this component was on our site before the Lighthouse update and didn't cause any issue previously.
