Using Android 8.0.0 on Pixel 2, Chrome browser version is 63.0.3239.83.

I use jqm 1.4.5 with jquery 1.12.0.

When typing into a <textarea> that is using the Textinput Widget, after about 3-4 lines worth of content, the browser freezes up, does not let you enter anymore content into the textarea even then you're pressing keys and renders the webpage useless. The screen will even start flashing randomly and you must kill the tab window to get it functional again. I was able to reproduce this off the actual jquery mobile page that demonstrates the textarea with textinput widget here: http://api.jquerymobile.com/textinput/ (go to the sample Textarea and type a few sentences).

I gave the same issue on Lenovo Vibe X3 and Android 6.01 and seems had this on other devices before. It's getting really frustrating when you have important online chat or filling long form. I wonder why this problem is ignored till now!
