Hello,

We are currently working on a cluster upgrade, and we are using xCAT version 2.13.1 with RHEL 7.3 as our OS. Our plan is to upgrade the OS version to 7.9.

I have checked the xCAT documentation at https://xcat-docs.readthedocs.io/en/latest/overview/xcat2_release.html but couldn't find any mention of an xCAT version explicitly supporting RHEL 7.9.

So, my question is: Does xCAT support RHEL 7.9, and if so, which version would be suitable for us to upgrade to?

Thank you in advance.

@ahmedfathymahmoud xCAT 2.13.1 was released way before rhels-7.9, so the maximum supported version would be rhels-7.2 (Centos/SCL etc too). Details available at https://github.com/xcat2/xcat-core/blob/2.13.1/perl-xCAT/xCAT/data/discinfo.pm

That said, the OS install process does not change drastically between 7.2 and 7.9 (mainly package updates in the series), so please try and run the copycds on the rhels-7.9 install media to test if the osimages are created correctly or not.
