We were delighted to attend the second Annual Report launch from the Women in Finance Charter at Dublin Castle yesterday. We are proud to be a signatory to Ireland’s Women in Finance Charter and it was great to witness the second Annual Report delivered by Minister for Financial Services Neale Richmond TD. This was an important milestone and highlights the significant progress that has been made since it was established. Gender diversity at all levels of our business is crucially important and we see this as a unique strength and an opportunity to make a positive impact particularly with our customers. Today we hosted our annual Pride Panel discussion. An important event in our calendar, it’s an opportunity to mark the origin of Pride, and to discuss and challenge how we safeguard and protect the freedoms we enjoy today. Recent homophobic and racist attacks remind us that we can never take our freedoms for granted. This year we were joined by transgender woman and LGBTQ activist and advocate Philippa Ryder who spoke about her journey - the highs and lows, and the enduring love she shares with her wife Helen and daughter Jenny. We also welcomed former Mr. Gay Ireland, immigrant and gay rights activist Guilherme Souza who shared his journey of coming out, healing from a past trauma and settling in Ireland as an immigrant.
