While SaaS vendors continue to enhance their security controls to meet security standards, organizations are responsible for securely configuring the applications. The European Union recognized the need to bolster the operational resilience of financial institutions, acknowledging that a significant cyberattack could potentially undermine and overwhelm vulnerable financial entities, the EU created legislation to compel those in the financial sector to reduce their cyber risk. This includes EU-based banks, credit institutions, crowdfunding platforms, and crypto-asset service providers. The Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) is already in effect, but financial organizations have until January 17, 2025, to comply. Organizations looking to avoid regulatory scrutiny should consider implementing a SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) solution to secure their SaaS stack. For a detailed exploration of how DORA impacts EU financial institutions and strategies for compliance, read the full article by Adaptive Shield: https://bit.ly/4bufynt

Earlier this week, Twilio issued a ⚠️ security alert stating that hackers had exploited a security lapse in the Authy API to verify Authy MFA phone numbers. Threat actors can use the stolen information to conduct phishing attacks that compromise other SaaS applications, putting every SaaS user at risk. In the wake of this breach, security teams should continue using and enforcing MFA whenever possible and should take the three-pronged approach to secure SaaS apps: 1️⃣ Hardening 2️⃣ Detection 3️⃣ Education Learn more in our recent blog ⬇️ https://okt.to/Mm49nt

In March, a container ship struck a support piling holding up the Francis Scott Key Bridge, knocking the bridge into the water. With the port closed, manufacturers prepared for disruptions in the global supply chain that could interfere with production. To protect their interests, manufacturers should ensure that the SaaS applications used to facilitate the manufacturing and supply chain processes are secured from threat actors. Threat actors can increase havoc and interfere with operations by breaching important applications in supply chain management. Our latest blog ⬇️ discusses how manufacturing companies can align application configurations across multiple tenants and how to reduce user risk along the SaaS stack while controlling the uncontrollable. https://okt.to/DRQZ6Y
