On my last day at DAC, The Chips to Systems Conference last Wednesday, I discussed wafer-level digital twins with Babak Taheri, CEO of Silvaco Inc and reusable chiplets with kash johal of YorChip Inc . On the microelectronics security panel there was a good discussion around challenges in implementing security and especially whether regulation and mandates would work or not for enforcing secure chip design. In other conversations, I had an interesting chat with Alok Kuchlous of Mirafra Technologies about design services companies and their role in delivering the complex chips that many companies do not have the skills or resources to develop.
