Check glassdoor or fishbowl or any other platform in your country where employees can post about their employers. Read reviews but have a balanced opinion when you start. Network with people on Linkedin who are already working there to check company culture. See if there is any brand presence on social media and do they celebrate culture and diversity.

Here's how you can research and prepare for an interview in a new industry.
Usually job descriptions are prepared by some one else other than hiring managers or rather often they vaguely convey what the role entails. Inquire about specific expectations that the hiring managers have, what are the dominant goals and success metrics for the role. Analye if you have these skills or not, focus on the ones you have that fit the role during the interview and use examples of how you did really well when you had to do something for the first time for skills you don't have much experience on.
