I was exploring how SAP Activate project management methodology is being implemented for S/4 HANA and other implementation projects. It was an interesting concept and how Agile methodologies are integrated to SAP projects to implement the projects with low risks and faster turn around times. SAP Activate is aligned with global project management standards like PMI- PMBOK. The methodology consists of six phases, including Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, and Run. The best practices, Tools and Activate methodology are the 3 Pillars of Activate framework which help in accelerating the project execution. Here in Chapter - 2 Ram Kaka further explained about the key data in SAP IS-U: 👉1. Business Master Data: ⚡️- Business Partner: Information about the people or organizations using the services. It is stored in tables like BUT000 and other BUT* tables. ⚡️- Contract Account: Details about how the customer's account is treated, such as billing terms. This data is stored in tables like FKKVK and FKKVKP. 👉2. Technical Master Data: ⚡️- Connection Object: Locations where services are provided, such as a building or streetlight. This data is stored in tables like ADRC. ⚡️- Premise: Places where energy or water is provided, such as an apartment or factory. This data is stored in tables like EVBS. ⚡️- Installation: Groups of devices that belong to the same division and premise. This data is stored in tables like EANL. 💪💡Ramu Kaka also described other important terms: ⚡️- Device Location: Where devices are placed within a connection object, similar to functional locations. ⚡️- Device: Tools like meters and controllers. ⚡️- Rate Category: A category given to each utility installation for different rates. ⚡️- Rate Type: A classification that helps set billing rates. From Concept to Customer Bliss: Crafting Inspirational Experiences A few weeks back, while driving, I dialled Ashok on the need for a mobile app for VB150, a flagship Celebrating Life program to sponsor economically challenged girls. Though intense, the discussion was frequently interrupted by motorist honks and occasional jibber-jabber from co-passengers. After that call, there was radio silence for a few weeks until he invited me to his office. While we got there thinking it was for a possible JAD or wireframe review, it was an "aha" moment as the team had the entire application built, tested, hosted and was roaring to go live. With my two decades of experience, I can vouch that for any MNC to build such an app with an impeachable UX, meticulous workflow and precision performance, it will not be less than 6 to 7 months. Team Ziga Infotech (#ZigaSagacians) achieved it in a span of weeks purely based on the inputs from the call and gleaning details from our website and social pages. SAP Career - Knowledge is not Power, Knowledge is the DIFFERENCE As I always say and preach, knowledge is the only all-door opener. Gifted talent may take you to a certain general access area but its only grit coupled with expert knowledge which takes you to the summit. Of late, i have been looking at SAP aspirants profiles who lay a complete emphasis on collecting SAP certifications with no knowledge about the specified area. SAP Certifications look cool to get even with nagging relatives but they do not serve much purpose in the client facing environment of a SAP Implementation project. SAP projects demand deep expert understanding of a particular area within SAP where you can counter the client's perspective by your own rendition of a process. Certifications will never solve the client's business problems. In India, there is a mushrooming " SAP Globally Certified " fresher consultants base who have embarked on a completely directionless endeavour. The exams are passed by refering to the sample question sets. Such freshers are dangerously playing a "Russian Roulette" with themselves. These students become a easy magnet for the fly-by-the-night SAP training classes conducted in dingy classrooms outside railway stations. Some of the courses are priced at 50 USD - 1 % of the standard SAP training fees, its a different 1 % club. With Zero knowledge and a " Global Certification", the fresher profiles are a perfect cocktail of disaster and misadventure. SAP as a ecosystem is a established gold mine but you need to study where and how to start digging. SAP aspirants who want to enter SAP domain must invest time and money in getting properly trained in SAP. If you cannot add value by SAP experience, you have to compensate by being a SAP trained expert. The crux of the matter is that the companies will hire you for your SAP skills and not for your personal problems.
