What is #Cassina Quality Week? Cassina Quality Week has just ended, the internal company event where the quality processes that make the brand a world leader in the creation of design products are shared with all employees. Durability, quality of materials, precision in assembly, sustainability, reliability and innovation: these are the cornerstones that revolve around the concept of quality of which the company becomes an ambassador; in this quality process, which aims to also keep the craftsmanship of the products intact, the company's people are an active part. During the Quality Week, Cassina conducted 14 training sessions open to 250 participants. Additionally, 18 departments were involved, resulting in a total of 10 hours of training provided. The human capital that animates Cassina is a fundamental reference in being able to bring the excellence of the brand all over the world. Cassina’s first Quality Week is underway. #Cassina is pleased to announce the inauguration of its Quality Week. From 8 to 12 July 2024, the company dedicates the week to its employees in a celebration of the culture of quality. A training initiative for employees, Quality Week is centred around deepening their knowledge of the vast assortment of materials used by the firm. This event was also created with the aim of celebrating and strengthening the manufacturing excellence that has consistently distinguished the brand and its products. During a series of information sessions, experts from the departments involved share their knowledge with their colleagues by focusing on the raw materials used in the company’s production processes. Research and identification of innovative materials will be discussed, a sign of the path undertaken by #Cassina to rethink the future of design and adopt an approach oriented towards greater sustainability. Two new important awards for two #Cassina excellences The 699 Superleggera chair, product of Cassina’s collaboration with Gio Ponti in the 1950s, has been awarded a Compasso d’Oro Career Award. 699 Superleggera exemplifies an experimental design that, over time, has become a symbol of Italian design. Present continuously in the Cassina collection since 1957, the chair becomes part of the ADI Compasso d'Oro Collection, declared on 22 April 2004 by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities to be of "exceptional artistic and historical interest". This is the 5th Compasso d'Oro for Cassina since 1954. In addition to this prestigious recognition, Cassina also received an Honourable Mention for the Esosoft sofa by Antonio Citterio, a system designed for the living area characterised by an elegant and timeless design which draws upon contemporary production techniques. This is not the first time Cassina has received honourable mentions for its ability to design in an innovative and conscious way. Welcome to Casa Brivio In Casa Brivio's reception area, the discreet elegance of traditional Milanese foyers is enhanced by the geometric decorations on the ceilings and the refined boiserie on the walls. Here, the Cicognino side table by Franco Albini and Lady armchairs by Marco Zanuso, from Cassina iMaestri Collection, welcome guests. To furnish the sixteen rooms of Casa Brivio, Cassina Custom Interiors developed tailor-made solutions for each individual guest space. Custom wardrobes separate the sleeping area, to create a cosy ambience; the kitchenettes add a touch of home-away-from-home practicality. The beds provide guests with a comfortable night’s rest. Rietveld Schröder House anniversary and the Utrecht armchair The Rietveld Schröder House turns 100 years old. This monument was designed by Gerrit T. Rietveld in Utrecht in 1924 when he was part of the De Stijl artistic movement. It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. Today, it is owned by the city's Centraal Museum and recognized globally as the most influential residential building of the early modern period, thanks to its radical approach to design and use of space. The Rietveld-Schröder-Haus was commissioned by Truus Schröder-Schräder, a culture enthusiast and architect who served as a patron to many artists of her time and who admired Rietveld's work enough to ask him to design her family home: an asymmetrical three-dimensional composition that blurs the lines between indoors and out, a bold primary colour scheme and flexible, easily transformed living spaces with sliding compartments. It is impossible not to link the birth of the Utrecht armchair, designed by Gerrit T. Rietveld himself in 1935, to this anniversary. A proud tribute to the city of his birth, it became part of Cassina's catalogue in 1988. Production of the Utrecht armchair was stopped during World War II and then resumed in 1953. Icons of the Cassina iMaestri Collection on stage at NeoCon 2024 For NeoCon 2024, held June 10th to 12th in Chicago, the Galaxy pendant lamp by Charles and Ray Eames lighted up the Haworth Showroom. Officially introduced as part of the #Cassina 2024 Collection, this lamp had never been in production until it was incorporated into the company’s lighting catalogue. Cassina re-edited the lamp in close collaboration with the Eames Office, through in-depth research and development. On the same days in which the event took place, the space welcomed Eames Demetrios, grandson of Charles and Ray and Director of the Eames Office. Moreover, on June 11th, the Cassina Space at Luminaire Chicago, a longstanding partner of the company, paid homage to the Cassina iMaestri Collection by hosting an exclusive presentation of the book "Echoes, Cassina. 50 Years of iMaestri”, published by Rizzoli and edited by Ivan Mietton, which marked the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Cassina iMaestri Collection in 2023. #NeoCon2024 #CassinaiMaestriCollection #CharlesRayEames

Galaxy wins the Interior Design HiP Award and the Best of NeoCon Award #Cassina is pleased to announce that the Galaxy lamp designed by Charles and Ray Eames has been awarded Gold in the decorative lighting category of the Best of NeoCon Awards, one of the most prestigious in the field of commercial interior design. The lamp also won the award in the 'Iconic Products' category of the Interior Design HiP Awards as one of the most innovative products designed for multiple spaces such as the workplace, hospitality, healthcare, schools and institutions. Among the protagonists of the Haworth Showroom at the Chicago fair, this model had never been mass-produced before becoming part of the Cassina Lighting Collection in 2024. The company developed this burst of light for serial production in close collaboration with the Eames Office, through in-depth research work, implementing modern technologies and materials while still safeguarding the research process conducted by the two designers. #Cassina #Galaxy #NeoConAward
