THE ROLE
As part of our growth strategy, we are on a journey to expand internationally, particularly within regions across Europe and the US.
We are looking for a driven Key Account Manager who will be leading engagements with our International client base to develop and nurture strong relationships with key clients, identify new business opportunities with new and existing clients, and generate revenue in line with our commercial targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key multi-national clients
Serve as the main point of contact and advocate for assigned key accounts
Understand clients' business needs and objectives to effectively position our products and services
Identify and pursue opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling additional products and services, and expanding services into additional territories
Collaborate with the sales team and cross-functional leadership to ensure client retention and expansion
Monitor account health and delivery progress to proactively identify and address potential issues
Manage contract renewals and negotiate terms to maximize revenue and client satisfaction.
Lead Generation and New Business Development:
Proactively identify new business opportunities within existing key accounts and new prospects
Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to generate leads and qualify prospects
Develop and execute strategies to expand the customer base and drive revenue growth to meet commercial targets
Business Development:
Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead qualification to closing deals
Develop compelling proposals and presentations tailored to clients' needs that effectively communicate the value proposition of our products and services
Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop competitive and profitable pricing models
Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to ensure mutually beneficial agreements
Update and maintain accurate records in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement account strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives to drive account growth and expansion
Conduct regular account reviews and provide insights to improve client satisfaction, product adoption, and business value delivered
Collaboration & Customer Advocacy:
Transform satisfied clients into advocates by gathering testimonials, case studies, and referrals
Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Success, to address client needs and concerns
Leverage client feedback to contribute to product improvements and enhancements.
ABOUT YOU
Desired requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or relevant role, particularly with developing new business opportunities and expanding existing accounts
Experience working in a SaaS and/or data and analytics company, preferably with a commercial function (e.g. solutions in CRM, Marketing Automation, Event Management, AI, Data, and analytics tools)
Experience working with the life science industry
Exceptional relationship management skills, able to communicate, build rapport, negotiate and influence effectively
Excellent presentation skills to develop and deliver value propositions to prospective clients
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and market trends
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Self-starter with a bias for action
Good collaboration and teamwork
Fluent in English; other European language skills desirable, particularly Italian
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
