Key Account Manager - Pet Specialties - MILAN

Role Overview:


As a Key Account Manager in the Pet Category, your primary responsibility will be to manage and nurture relationships with two key off-line accounts while actively exploring opportunities to expand the company's market presence by opening new accounts. You will play a crucial role in driving sales, revenue growth, and overall success within the pet industry in Italy.


You will collaborate with the Pet Specialties Brand Manager for defining strategies and building annual consumer and channel brand marketing and innovation plans by understanding the consumer’s needs, customer requirements, competitive landscape, business model metrics, and market dynamics.


This role is most successful working cross functionally collaboration with the role partners of the Launch of the new Pet Brand in Italy. You will guide the business vision and commercial strategy under the guidance of the National Key Account Manager. Equally, you will be accountable to ensure all strategies are aligned and synergistic from the commercial perspective.




Responsibilities:


Account Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with the designated key accounts.
  • Understand the unique needs and goals of each account to provide tailored solutions and support.
  • Regularly assess customer satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.

Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling pet products.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to seize growth opportunities.

New Account Acquisition:

  • Identify and evaluate potential new accounts within the pet industry.
  • Create business proposals and negotiate terms to establish new partnerships.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new accounts, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into the company's ecosystem.

Forecasting and Planning:

  • Monitor sales data and market trends to make accurate sales forecasts.
  • Create and manage account-specific business plans and budgets to achieve targets.
  • Provide regular reports on account performance and market insights.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Maintain clear and effective communication with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Supply Chain, and Customer Support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address customer needs and resolve any issues promptly.

Operate with an Entrepreneurial, Start-Up Mentality for all channels in the Pet Industry

  • Proven experience as a Key Account Manager in the pet category or a related industry in Italy and desirable if there is European experience.
  • Strong understanding of the pet industry, market dynamics, and consumer behaviour.
  • Demonstrated history of growing revenue and market share, meeting sales goals
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic account plans.
  • Ability to work in an extremely fast pace, high growth organization juggling multiple customers, go-to market strategies
  • Negotiation and influencing skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Qualification, Experience & Skills:

  • Degree in Business Administration, or relevant academic qualification.
  • 5+ years of experience in Pet industry; with proven track record of having successfully developed, implemented, and tracked growing revenue (on and offline).
  • Track of successful penetration in the pet industry with market share of new products through commercialization and in-market success. Successfully managed a complex product portfolio.
  • Strong decision-making background in ambiguous environments with a bias for action.
  • Experience managing internal and external stakeholder relationships with clients, partners, and prospects.
  • Ability to think analytically and own budgets and KPIs.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once, last minute requests, and quick turnarounds with a positive attitude.
  • Strong demonstrated track record of performance and progression.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Home residence: Milan or hinterland Milan




Terms & Conditions:

· Permanent, Full-time Contract based in Milan

· Remuneration package to be agreed based on previous experience

· Headquarters: H&H Italy, Viale Sarca 235, Milano (Bicocca area)

· Way of Working: Hybrid (Physical presence with smart working)

· Initiation of contract: April 2024
