Congratulations to our owners, NEC Corporation , on their 125th anniversary. This milestone, celebrated under the theme 'Creating What’s Ahead―125 years and beyond', commemorates NEC's legacy of innovation and inspires us to look forward. In autumn 2023, KMD and NEC joined forces to launch the solution KMD Connect in Japan. Later in the same year, KMD, together with their UK counterparts at NEC Software Solutions, offered KMD WorkZone to multiple clients in the United Kingdom, underscoring KMD's dedication to shaping the digital landscape both domestically and internationally. These are just a few examples of how we together, are setting new standards in technology and creating solutions that make a difference. “As we celebrate the NEC Way Day we are reminded that we are a part of something bigger. Looking ahead, I am confident that the principles and values of the NEC Way that have guided us thus far will continue to lead us towards further achievements together. The data centers that NEC opened in Kanagawa and Kobe, Japan in May 2024 strike a careful balance between a high level of security to protect data, as well as decarbonization mechanisms to reduce power consumption and maximize the use of renewable energy. “Given the perception of data centers as massive consumers of electricity, we felt a strong sense of responsibility to pursue green initiatives,” said a project member while providing details on these initiatives. #NEC #NECglobal #sustainable #earthfriendly #DX

NEC has developed a technology for measuring sea levels with high accuracy from greater distances using 3D Light Detection And Ranging (LiDAR), a remote sensing technology. This technology makes it possible to reliably measure sea levels, even in the event of a tsunami or ground movement at the location where the measuring equipment is installed.
