  • Diploma Design “Booster Engine of a Reusable Small Satellite Launcher”

    –

    Preliminary design of a reusable rocket engine from stage sizing to cycle analysis, including 1D heat transfer of regenerative cooling with NASA CEA based on NASA-SP-125.

  • Bachelor Thesis "Mechanism of Flashing Inception in Liquid Nitrogen"​ (in Japanese)

    –

    Conducted an experimental study on the sudden decompression of cryogenic fluid tanks. Contributed to the safety assessment of a liquid hydrogen (LH2) tanker in its design phase. Supervisors: Prof. Toshinori Watanabe and Prof. Takehiro Himeno.

  • University-wide Student Exchange Program

    Studied mainly turbomachinery and aerospace propulsion. Analyzed the influence of tip clearance modeling on turbine flutter simulation as an individual research project “Influence of Tip Clearance Modeling on the Flutter Analysis of an LPT Turbine Rig” supervised by Prof. Paul Petrie-Repar. The results were included in an ISUAAAT14 paper.

    Designed and built an indoor drone as a team leader. Successfully completed several missions such as payload drop and automatic banking turn.

  • A Rocket Launch for International Students Satellites (ARLISS) 2013

    –

    Developed an autonomous rover that was designed to launch to an altitude of 3-4 km and return to its goal. In charge of an Android camera application to detect the goal with image processing.

  • Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP)

    –

    Conducted a research internship on the project “Wireless Power Transfer via Magnetic Resonance” at Maki Laboratory (Underwater Platform Systems), Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo.
