Mars and FrieslandCampina are moving together to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 🙌 For more than 30 years, we have provided essential dairy ingredients like milk fat and cream for the Mars snacking business. Now, we’re taking our partnership further to accelerate the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions on FrieslandCampina member dairy farms. Together, we aim to achieve a 33% reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 2025 and a 50% reduction by 2030, compared to 2015 levels, for the dairy ingredients we supply. Mars will directly compensate farmers to implement and test climate-smart practices. Through leveraging our unique data expertise, and a shared commitment to deliver progress – we can help create a more sustainable future for dairy. Want to know more? We’re excited to share our latest progress on our climate targets! In 2023, FrieslandCampina member dairy farms achieved a remarkable 28% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to 2015. 🚀 Our Future Goals: - By 2030, we aim to reduce emissions from member dairy farms by 33% compared to 2015. - For our production facilities and transport, we’re targeting a 63% reduction. - For sourced products, such as raw materials and packaging, our goal is a 43% reduction. This progress wouldn’t be possible without the dedication and hard work of our member dairy farmers, employees, and partners.
