Trefa is a family owned manufacturer of aerating machine with world wide sales. From the early 60's of the last century, Trefa develops and produces high-tech aerating machines for several application worldwide. In 1996 the company was taken over by the current owner by a management by-out. Trefa's speciality is to develop and produce continue aerating machines according to customers specifications. And to do guarantee its high quality all parts of the machines are made in house. See also the video on our website here. Aerating machines are machines to mix a liquid with a gas in order to create a foam. These machines are used to increase the volume or to increase the product structure. They offer benefits in the way of uniform product quality and total control in terms of product quality like density and structure. Applications are in the food industry for instance: dairy cream, marshmallow, meringue, cake batters but also in the non-food industry for instance for matrasses and cushions. For these applications Trefa also develops and produces pre-mixers, in-line blenders and manifolds. A substantial part of the turnover is used for research and development. Resulting in the development of a mixing head with a unique feature, the "pre-mixchamber". Now the mixing process is divided in several stages which leads to a better quality of the aerated foam (product). Please see also the special article describing this pre-mix chamber here. Trefa is able to produce aerators in several capacities and with several controls, depending on the product to be aerated. These models range from the TL-50, for laboratory and small production purposes, up to the Trefa T-3000 (up to 10,000 kg/hour) for industrial use.
