Customer Relations Specialist

As a Customs Relations Specialist Airfreight Schiphol at DHL Global Forwarding, you and your colleagues are responsible for serving DHL Global Forwarding customers. After all, you are the first point of contact for the customer. You have daily contact with the customer about various matters such as imports, shipments, order issues and relationship management. You offer logistics solutions that fit the customer's needs & DHL Global Forwarding.


Your new job as a Customer Relations Specialist:

You unburden our customers from A-Z with regard to air freight shipments and imports. You pick up new shipments that are registered, you take care of the correct documentation and you coordinate everything with the customer, shipping companies and carriers. In your role as coordinator, you are always one step ahead of everyone else. You know what is going on in the department and help and direct your colleagues where necessary.


In addition, your tasks will consist of:


  • You ensure that your customers are and remain well informed about the status of the shipments, delivery period and rates
  • You are responsible for invoicing
  • You record everything well and clearly in the system


What is DHL Global Forwarding looking for in our new Customer Relations Specialist?


  • You are a strong communicator and have a good command of the Dutch or English language, both verbally and in writing
  • You are customer-oriented and able to set priorities
  • You are administratively strong and accurate with the processing of data. In addition, you can quickly master automated systems


Furthermore:

  • If you have a helicopter view, you keep an overview and switch between the different flows.
  • You have a good knowledge of operational systems such as CW1, CXD, excel skills.
  • You are our link between the operational team and the Control Towers.
  • You know how to deal with raw data and you know how to interpret it in the right way.
