Data Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snowflake Data Engineer to join our customer's dynamic data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing, ETL processes, and database management, with specific expertise in Snowflake. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Snowflake data warehouse solutions to support the company's data analytics and business intelligence needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Implementation: Architect, design, and implement scalable and secure Snowflake data warehouse solutions.
- ETL Development: Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes to ensure data is ingested accurately and efficiently into Snowflake.
- Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of the Snowflake environment, including query performance tuning and storage optimization.
- Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models to support business reporting and analytics needs.
- Security: Implement and manage data security policies and procedures within the Snowflake environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, ETL processes, and data models.
- Best Practices: Stay current with Snowflake best practices, new features, and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to improve our data infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Snowflake and ETL processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with at least 2 years of experience working with Snowflake.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and advanced SQL techniques.
- Strong experience with ETL tools and processes (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend, Informatica).
- Experienced with Snowflake Data Projects
- Experience with data modeling tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and data integration.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java is a plus.
