Data Engineer

Job Title: Data Engineer

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

Contract: 12 month Freelance contract (2 year program)

36 hrs minimum

Working setup: Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite

Language: Dutch & English

I'm currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join a project team focussing on growing the use of Data lakes within our prestigious Financial Services client.

You will be supporting a project team in migrating their existing environment to the Azure cloud.

Responsibilities:

• Model and design data flows for a Data Lake and metadata-driven Data Vault 2.0 data warehouse.
• Manage the traditional Data Vault 2.0 data warehouse in the Azure Cloud environment.
• Develop functionality to support the Data Lake and Data Vault 2.0 Cloud data warehouse.
• Develop and maintain pipelines to deploy infrastructure / settings to Azure Cloud

Required Skills:

• A demonstrable background as Data Engineer
• Excellent experience of Azure Cloud environments, Azure Data Platforms & Data Factory
• Experience of building pipelines for infrastructure deployments, using Bicep or ARM
• Excellent experience DataBricks / Spark
• Solid experience with SQL, Python, Synapse
• Excellent English & Dutch language skills
