Database Engineer

As a preferred supplier to one of our biggest financial organisations, I am seeking for a Oracle Engineer for a 12+ months contract in Netherlands

Responsibilities:

As Oracle Dbaas Engineer (reliability – core development) you will be part of a bigger set of teams who creates high quality DBaaS Cloud Services for the consumers worldwide.

In this role you will prepare and maintain the Code Repository, pipelines and create / test new features provided by DBaaS. You will Interact with other teams to build and maintain features for our consumers.

• The operation of container databases (CDB's) and consumer pluggable databases (PDB's).
• Resolving / executing open incidents, tasks and changes (second line).
• Postmortems, either within the team or by writing detailed specifications for other teams.
• Performing second day operations and contribute to the automation of these processes.
• Actively contributing to the documentation of Dbaas as a whole.
• Cooperate actively with our first line support.

Experience:

• Experience with Oracle RDBMS layer (RAC, DataGuard)
• Experience with managing a multi-tenant Oracle environment
• Well versed in Azure Devops, CD/CI tools and pipelines.
• Competent scripting expertise (Ansible, Python, Bash)
• Senior level knowledge of ExaData
• Linux RHEL experience
• Experience with building and running Azure pipelines
• A strong understanding of Agile-Scrum methodology is considered a pre.
• A focus on servicing and helping our consumers, while staying strict on not creating technical debt / specials.
• Excellent command of English language.
