Material Requirements / Supply Chain Planner

We are looking for a Material Requirements Planner for our leading Biopharmaceutical Client in Leiden. The employee understands the annual company and division goals and knows how to influence them through their performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, maintain, communicate, and publish Materials Requirements Plans (MRP) to meet patient/customer needs.
• Maintain raw materials and components inventories within goals, minimizing excess, obsolete, and expired materials. Contribute to global material and component balancing within Global Planning, optimizing quality, service, reliability, and cost.
• Communicate material delivery schedules to suppliers on time to meet plan requirements.
• Collaborate with Global Procurement to drive supplier performance improvements, including quality and timely delivery in line with MPS.
• Track and report site/platform level supplier service performance, sharing information with relevant parties.
• Work with Quality and Warehouse staff on rejected/defective materials, arranging timely return or disposal with the supplier.
• Encourage continuous improvements (CI) of the supported process.
• Support material and component Phase In and Phase Out processes.

PROFILE

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related Business discipline required.
• Supply Chain Certification (e.g., APICS) preferred.
• Lean Certification is desirable.
• Up to 5 years of relevant Supply Chain Management experience (Planning, Logistics, or Manufacturing) required.
• Experience in Planning/Purchasing in a multinational environment.
• Preferable experience in the Pharmaceutical and/or Biopharmaceutical industry.
• Preferred experience with SAP.

PRACTICALITIES

Location: Leiden, NL

Startdate: July (flexible)

Duration: 12 months (high chance of extension)

Set-up: 40 hours per week
